Macros & Addons
Recommendations coming soon.
For Addons my suggestions would be the following;
Details - Damage and Healing meters with additional information that can are usually only able to be viewed through logs
Exorsus Raid Tools - Helpful tools to better track cooldowns for you and your raid, or boss specific functions to improve your raid's organization
Weakauras - by far one of the most important addons to acquire, this addon allows you to better present information on your screen to improve your performance.
Weakauras I use for Disc and Holy
OPie - While this addon does not improve raid performance, it can be an easy way to access important items without opening your bags, profession book etc.
Vuhdo - While healers like to heal in different ways I prefer using Vuhdo to allow me to click frames with click modifiers in order to heal
How to Make a Macro
To open up the Macro menu, type "/macro" or "/m".
Choose between the "General" and Character-specific macro tabs. Then click on the "New" button on the macro window.
Choose a Name and an Icon so you can easily recognize your macro, then click on "Okay."
Select your macro's icon from the list at the top of the macro window, and then click in the text area below. Type or copy/paste your macro into the text area.
When you are finished, click the "Save" button, and to close the window, click "Exit".
WeakAuras on Wowhead
WeakAuras is a handy addon that flashes a useful alert onto your screen related to important abilities--cooldowns, durations, etc. However, it can be tricky to configure especially if you're new to it, so we've set up basic Weak Aura customizations for every player spell, including intelligent default auras.
Just visit a spell page (
) and click on the red "WeakAuras Export" button to open the panel up. Click "Copy" for our default aura, or "Customize" to easily change your alerts!
