Honoring a Hero

En honor a un héroe
Start & End: Javnir Nashak
For this quest, Horde players are given Tributo a Grom and sent to Grom's Monument in the Demon Fall Canyon of Ashenvale to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Grom Hellscream. Upon returning the quest, players will receive El Grito Infernal de la Horda, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.

For this quest, Alliance players are given Tributo a Uther and sent to Uther's Tomb in Western Plaguelands to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Uther Lightbringer. Upon returning the quest, players will receive ¡Por la Luz!, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.

I'm a convert from another game that's more "Square" than this one. Festivals have fun items that you can collect in that world. What is this for exactly, and not to be greedy, but what do we get out of it besides some fireworks?

As of 2013, Blizzard celebrates Harvest Festival from September 13 until September 19.

The Astilla espiritual inquieta, Astilla espiritual abandonada, Astilla espiritual pacífica and Astilla espiritual vengadora visual buff lasts for 1 hour and also applies it to your mount.

I'm going to get samples from each of the spiritshards. Those have "future toy" written all over them as they are pure visual effects with no utility or buff whatsoever.

This wouldn't be the first time Blizzard issues out a vanity item, then later adds it to the toy box. That's happened before, when the toy box was already live (e.g. Pergamino de narración de historias)

Wording in the guide should reflect that you can choose ONE of the four spiritshards.

To clarify the quest reward description in the guide: you get three charges of one of the four colors shards, you don't get to choose three of the four colors

Good thing I had received Gold in the Scholomance challenge mode in MoP. Easy to complete the quest.

Just my thoughts about making the Spiritshard's into toys. Could it be that Blizz intentionally wanted to limit any sort of incentive to complete the quest being that we are honoring the fallen Horde hero. I feel like getting an achievement or permanent vanity item would cheapen that act. Also, if they gave a permanent item like a toy, what would be the incentive to honor the fallen next year? Rather than making it an act of vanity, it should be one of dignity because you want to, not because you want a toy.

Unfortunately, the pictures of each color do not say which spirit shard gives that color. Could you please update to include that? I realize it's almost over, but it would be useful for the future.

Instead of making it a toy, what if Blizz made a vendor who would sell your character only the Spiritshards you've unlocked via the yearly quest ? That way, you'd have a reason to go visit the shrine all year long, to get more of the consumable, and a reason to do the quest on multiple toons over multiple years.

This seems like it would really keep in the theme of remembering the fallen, by making the journey over and over.

I didn't do it last year, and I'm not going to do it this year, but if it became something to collect, and maybe add an achieve for doing it once, and an achieve for doing it four times, then I'd feel motivated to participate.

And maybe add a toybox item for doing it all four times. I mean, we're talking about a four year commitment here, but make the toybox item something OTHER than the Spiritshard effect. Something to honor the dead hero for your faction.

You guys might want to have a look at this. The Bounty of the Harvest arrived just a minute after completing the quest.
