This section of the Holy Paladin guide covers everything about your Artifact Traits for The Silver Hand and which order to select them as well as relic information.
The Silver Hand
It's important to spend Artifact Power carefully. Each point you put into Tyr's Hand increases the amount required for the next point at an exponential rate. The most efficient use of Artifact Power is to go straight for Shock Treatment and then up and around to
can be a very strong trait but not something you should try to build up for the sake of getting a huge heal. If you're keeping
on cooldown, you won't have to worry about losing the buff with it. The only issue you might run into is using
as damage and then not having enough time to use
again before the buff wears off. While it may be fun to keep track of how much
is going to heal for, it would most likely just be clutter on your screen.
For dungeons, using the
buff can provide incredible group healing with
. All Beacon abilities have a slight delay between a heal going off and then transferring to your Beacon targets; you can make great use of this by pre-casting
and then immediately casting
as soon as it goes off. Follow this up with
for amazing burst healing for your group.
Next you want to go straight for
to the right from
isn't necessarily interesting, but it is very useful. Coupled with
becomes 20% damage reduction and 15% increased healing for 8 seconds. We should be able to get this trait by the time Mythic raiding starts or at least very soon after.
, we can go back and pick up
as our last Golden trait.
is nice to have, but it's not all that great. We typically don't want to be healing our Beacon targets because then we don't get much out of our Beacons. We should still make use of the buff as it is an increase to healing, it's just not that significant.
Once you've gotten all three of your major artifact traits, pick up
, and then
Empowered Artifact Weapon for 7.2
Patch 7.2 added a short quest line to empower your artifact weapon, giving you access to new traits! After empowering your weapon you will find that you have access to 6 completely brand new traits. listed below. In addition all previous "Bronze" traits that were 3/3 will now go up to 4/4 once unlocked. After completing your artifact you unlock a new "Paragon Trait" that will start at 0/50.
New Traits Added in Patch 7.2
Is a new trait that just rolls all the power from the previous incarnation of the 20/20 paragon trait into one single trait.
is a new "Bronze" trait that makes
a bit more potent. Although not the strongest of our Bronze traits it provides a decent throughput increase.
Is our new "Silver" trait, although it doesn't change how we use
it makes it a bit more forgiving when we do use it. Also makes it just a little bit more viable to use in those situations where you really need to save someones life with it.
This is our new "Gold" trait, it provides a decent throughput increase especially on stacked fights. This trait is one of if not the most powerful trait in our artifact.
Below is the recommended path to unlock the new "Empowered Traits"
It is recommended that you rush to your new Gold trait as it is very valuable.
After unlocking your new Gold trait you should unlock the remaining bronze traits in this order.
After completing the above path you will unlock
which is what you can dump any remaining Artifact Power into. It provides a very small throughput gain after the first point, but its better than nothing!
