Well, I mean lorewise the Alliance has Night Elven refugees now without a city. It would mirror Mag'har, that only live in a section. But, I would've made Bladespire Citadel's interior their city.
That building has been there since Cata. They just swapped the green Orcs for Mag’har. But Horde favouritism, amiright?
I think it would be a lot of fun to see the Mag'har NPCs develop over time. Add to their "current" location, expand it a bit. Then eventually move to their own village, bare bones at first, but built up with each patch. This would show them as a dynamic group, much more realistic as a refugee group than if they stay static. Even though I'm very much an Alliance player, I think it would be super cool to be able to see a new Horde race make a new home for themselves and flourish over time. :)
I honestly don't get the fascination with MU mag'har that people seem to have, I was a horde main throughout BC and they weren't exactly exciting people. Just brown skin orcs with 2-3 villages with very few members alive and no distinguishable clans. The AU Maghar had almost all the major clans in it with distinguishable features of those clans and they were actually heavily built on in quests and zones.I mean I'd think that would be a much better option than just simple brown orcs that are super boring and mostly having a pissing contest in Nagrand over a bluff with the draenei of the area. I mean if you want Mag'har of MU for roleplay reasons then sure pick a simple brown skin and act like you are from MU, but honestly they aren't relevant nor are they very active. The only exciting "orcs" in Outland to me were the Mok'nathal, but they are even less in numbers than the Mag'har and only active one really is Rexxar.
i wish thrall was also there. :'(
What if this isn't the only allied race to get a "building" in an existing city? On the WoW forums, I once saw people complaining that things didn't need to be "balanced" at the same time (was a faction favoritism post). So what if this is one of those things that aren't "balanced" at this time? What if Horde's next Allied Race get this awesome hub, and the alliance get the Pig and Whistle. There is plans for other Allied Races to be added throughout the expansion.
They should've made a Mag'har refugee camp in the Barrens or something. That'd look cool, with tents everywhere.
ah the alliance bias is strong and powerful in this xpack, not only do we have the ^&*!ty narrative of we are the villains, no races that can be the most broken and played class called paladins right now despite lore saying one race can be, but now we get shafted for our race having its own special locations and secret city.
The mag'har escaped extinction, and have found solace here in Org. Makes sense lore wise, quit belly aching and be thankful for what we have instead of what we don't. It could be worse and you could not have it at all children. Get a new toy and you flip because it's not exactly how you wanted, awesome.
