This Enhancement Shaman build is well rounded and versatile in all types of content, without focusing on any one thing in particular. For a deeper look at each talent and more specialized builds for specific activities, see the
Enhancement Shaman Talent Guide
This is a typical Enhancement Shaman DPS rotation, using the talents recommended above. More optimized rotations and notes on on cooldown use can be found in the
Enhancement Shaman Rotation Guide
Golpe de tormenta
Estallido de relámpagos
if 2 or more targets are in range.
Lengua de Fuego
if below 70 Maelstrom.
Latigazo de lava
You should try to not waste Maelstrom, but it can and definitely will happen with the current design of the spec, so don't worry too much when it happens. For AoE, also try to make sure you keep the
Estallido de relámpagos
buff effect up as much as possible whenever 2 or more targets are in range, and try to maximize the number of targets hit by
by not wasting it against a single target if multiple targets will soon be available.
Enhancement Shamans primarily favor Haste, followed by Mastery, but stat priorities can often shift depending on your individual gear. Find out more about how stats work, including sample stat weights and scaling plots in the
, or get an overview of gear to look for from dungeons and raids in the

Critical Strike = Versatility
Only two gear slots can be enchanted by all players in Battle for Azeroth: weapons and rings. There are also glove enchants which can assist with professions, Enchanter-only bracer enchants which modify hearthstone use, and Tailor-only cloak enchants which reduce threat slightly.

Encantar anillo: acuerdo de celeridad
Ojo de leviatán de agilidad
Espinela de arenas movedizas
This details just a few ideal options to aim for in no strict order which are both versatile and accessible. Choices afterward are generally much less impactful. You can find more about the variety of options including those from raids and specific locations in the

This is a quick start up of what essences to pick, but you should make sure to check the
Enhancement Shaman Azerite Essences Guide
to read up more on what options are available. These are the easiest to execute essences that have the most power built in at Rank 3, but are not always the perfect choice in more advanced content.
Blood of the Enemy
Breath of the Dying
Essence of the Focusing Iris
Conflict & Strife
is a new feature added into Patch 8.3. This replaces Warforging/Titanforging, and can randomly occur on any item from 8.3, Season 4 and Ny'alotha content,
excluding any Azerite pieces
. Ideally, you need to aim to balance your Corruption around not extending too far into the negative effects while still gaining the best bang for your buck with each Corrupted piece equipped. You can find out more about alternatives in the
Enhancement Shaman Corrupted Gear page
A very rough tiering of each of the bonuses you can acquire is as follows:
Estrellas del infinito
: exceptional single target damage, but loses value with extra targets in range.
: strong single target, and exceptional AoE damage. Meteors slightly, so is a good equip in all situations.
Latigazo del Vacío
: consistently high single target and easy to acquire.
: poor in single target, but gains significant value in AoE.
: best secondary stat scaling available, and absolutely the best option to stack for its low Corruption cost.
: extremely Corruption efficient and deals good damage in single target situations.
: good single target damage, but is impacted by movement and a low proc rate to balance this out.
: strongest secondary stat proc, but requires you to be taking damage to activate it.
: roughly equal to the Versatility proc, but less conditional.
: flat Critical Strike gain. Good, but weaker than Haste.
: flat Versatility gain. Good, but weaker than both Haste and Critical Strike.
: Critical Strike damage boost. Solid, but weaker than most flat stat boosts.
: worse than Haste or Versatility, but still a good gain and improves in AoE.
: flat Mastery gain. Average, and gains slightly in AoE.
: cooldown reduction doesn't do much good - if any - to Enhancement due to relying on reset mechanics
Ritual del Vacío
: low proc rate and very weak gains, making it unappealing for others to use as well reducing any gain you might find in groups.
: lowest stat budget secondary proc that provides very low value.
Atisbo de claridad
: same as Ineffable Truth, Enhancement doesn't have enough cooldowns to warrant the use of this and procs can be munched by Stormstrike resets.
