The Weekly Marmot - Dealing with Younger Raiders
29/03/2011 a las 13:27
This week I aim the ramble-o-tron at the topic of younger players in your guild and raids. What can be some of the disadvantages of having them around? What about advantages? And for the younger guys themselves, what can be done to "fit in"?
Blizz Blues - Ep 11 - Is Hunters OP?
29/03/2011 a las 13:25
Are hunters really THAT bad in low level BGs? I think we've all seen the threads, and Darnell feels that the only way to really find out is to reerrroooolllllll...
Slaughter Trolls With Blizzard and a New Ghostcrawler Blog on Interrupts
29/03/2011 a las 12:26
The developers have been talking to the community a lot lately. Today they're even playing with us: from 4PM to 6PM PDT today, you can slaughter some trolls with the developers on the PTR. Joining a Zul'Aman or Zul'Gurub instance will give you a small chance to run into a player from a guild named either or . Just make sure to act cool if you encounter them; don't link them any of your fanart of them and Thrall or demo reels of your code or anything.
If that wasn't enough, we also have another Ghostcrawler post. He's been making frequent blogs lately and they've all been worth reading--this one's no different. Talking about interrupts this time, he examines the problems with interrupts and their subsequent fixes that led to an unforeseen consequence of caster mobility and a degradation in the use of cast time spells. This has been a complaint for some time now, in both the PvE and PvP circles. It manifests by burst damage in PvP and class preference for PvE. Progression guilds have gotten many headaches over the eternal war between casters and melee, fights preferring stacked groups of either and rarely catering to both. But a
Blizzard's Third Q+A Answered, Armor and Weapons Selected for Next Topic
28/03/2011 a las 12:46
Blizzard just posted their next set of answers to the their third global Q+A session they held through the forums recently. Surprisingly, the traditionally dry and technical topic of user interfaces provided the community with what we believe are the best set of questions and answers thus far; they make for the most riveting read, at least! From big to small, questions this time around address real issues that we've been wondering--like how come the default backpack hasn't gotten an upgrade in the past six years or why isn't World of Warcraft's default UI easily rearranged like in other games?
There will be more of these sessions coming up in the near future as well. The topic of Armor and Weapons is slated to be tackled next; starting at 4PM PDT today, Blizzard will field questions from NA players. We'll have another post when those go live.
Some of the topics of the questions they were asked include:
Combat Log Improvements
Order of Characters on Select Screen

Have flying mounts made the game world feel insignificant?
How can I help my raiders learn from each others' mistakes?
How important are healing addons\/mouseover macros?
Is the weekly valor point cap necessary?
Guild Challenges Implemented on Patch 4.1 PTR
26/03/2011 a las 14:22
The previously mentioned guild challenges have just started showing up on the PTR! You can rest assured that we'll have them added to our PTR website but for now you can take a look at the updated interface and get an idea of what kind of "challenges" we'll be facing! These challenges will be an awesome way to earn tons of guild experience and appear to have weekly caps -- For example, the Heroic dungeon challenge can be completed 7 times, most likely in a row with the changes to the Daily Heroic system! Sounds awesome to me!

Patch 4.1 - PTR Build 13793 - New Items
25/03/2011 a las 13:27
There are a lot of new items we've pulled up from this patch, way too many to tack onto the previous post about spell changes. This time around, the theme seems to be new vanity items and new epics now on certain rare mobs as well as achievements.
See the full list of latest additions by clicking here!
Notable finds include:
We were told that was getting a new loot table a while back: "Loot from the creatures Garr, Julak-Doom, Mobus, and Poseidus has been adjusted to be commensurate to their rarity and invested effort." Well, there's some proof it's happening! is back and there is a new spell datamined:
Not to be outdone, it looks like those other rares are now getting epic drops as well: and more below!
Guild challenges will now be tracked by achievements and there are a lot them, like:

Patch 4.1 - Rise of the Zandalari Official Preview
25/03/2011 a las 12:26
Blizzard hit us today with the official content preview for Patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari. It's a well-written summary of the threats adventurers will be facing soon and explains what role Vol'jin will be playing and the numerous threats that Stranglethorn contains. It also shows us some of the new vanity drops we'll be seeing.
In years past, the Zandalar tribe, encompassing the wise and scholarly progenitors of the trolls, heroically assisted the Horde and the Alliance with thwarting the nefarious activities of their brethren in Zul'Gurub and Zul'Drak. Yet the chaos unleashed by the recent Cataclysm has reshaped the Zandalari's philosophy about the world and the dwindling remnants of their race. Led by a mysterious prophet known only as Zul, the Zandalari have issued a call to Azeroth's embattled troll populations: unite into a single mighty empire and save their race from extinction.
Thus far, the Gurubashi and Amani trolls have answered the summons and received aid from the Zandalari, allowing them to rebuild their respective capitals in Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman. Not all trolls, however, have so eagerly adopted the Zandala
Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (March 17 - 24)
24/03/2011 a las 20:59
Some more hotfixes went just went live today, though nothing as groundbreaking as the last batch. It seems some bugs were fixed and a possible exploit was also fixed. Honestly, you'd think that with the sordid history of NPCs and their spells being stolen by players for other encounters, their buffs disappearing when players zone out would be common sense by now. Well, maybe next time!
