13/01/2010 a las 00:33
Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power?\r
It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND!The Warcraft Battlecry Mosaic, which we last mentioned a week ago here, has had another tile unlocked. With 9,082 out of 20,000 pictures gathered we reached a new milestone and the new tile was unlocked. Along with this new tile we also had a piece of artwork made available on the site.\r
This piece of art is a crashed zeppelin sketch shown at World of Warcraft’s E3 reveal some years back which can be seen here.\r
We are 45% of the way complete and Blizzard still needs your help in collecting the remaining 10,918 pictures to complete the mosaic. So why don't you head over to the official Battlecry Mosaic site and submit a picture?\r
Shout-Out From Pawn
11/01/2010 a las 19:54
Look ma I'm in an addon! Those of you who use the addon Pawn will know that it's a loot-ranking addon, which determines an item's score based on point values you attach to their particular stats—in a similar manner as our own weight scale feature, only directly in the game.\r
Well, Pawn users may have also noticed a subtle change in the addon, just like PoeticDragon did this morning. See the image to the right. :)\r
Hi Pawn guys!
Cataclysm Alpha NOT Starting Tuesday
09/01/2010 a las 18:06
OH NOES IT'S FAKE -- See original here.Several websites have reported today that the F&F alpha test for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm may begin this upcoming Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Along with these rumours is a DVD (as seen on the right) that is supposedly a copy of the alpha that will be distributed to testers instead of being a digital download to deter people from getting the data easily.\r
According to sources close to us here at Wowhead, we can confirm that all of these rumours are false and the alpha will not be starting Tuesday. Also, the supposed alpha DVD has been confirmed to be fake.\r
As always, be careful with what you read on the interwebs!
Blizzard Giving Thought to Mandatory Authenticator?
08/01/2010 a las 13:00
The new Authenticator overlordsAccording to this recent article over at WoW.com, Blizzard is giving serious consideration to making authenticators mandatory for all accounts. \r
While I personally think this would be a great idea and could almost eliminate hacking attempts, I still see some problems with it. First there is the entire logistical operation involved with this, even if they provided an authenticator with every copy of the game from now on how would they get it to current customers. They also have a lot of trouble even keeping them in stock currently in the Blizzard Store. One way to combat that would be to make this go into effect during Cataclysm and bundle it with the new expansion and give some kind of grace period before they lock it down. Another issue I foresee happening is a lot of people really just plain dislike having to enter a second "password" that is random every time you login, this is especially bad if you have two accounts that you keep switching between.\r
Overall I personally welcome our new authenticator overlords when they
Looking Back on 2009... for Wowhead
07/01/2010 a las 18:46
Goodies! In keeping with the tradition of the beginning of a new year, there have been a number of posts looking back on 2009, and all the interesting developments both in the world at large, and in our game of choice.\r
I thought, then, that I would take a moment to look at all the interesting developments here at Wowhead itself! There have been a ton of changes to the site here in the last year, and what better time to take stock than a new year?

05/01/2010 a las 19:37
Not one but two tiles!Once again the Warcraft Battlecry Mosaic, last mentioned here, has reached a new milestone and this time two tiles have been unlocked. The picture count reached 8,277 over the holidays which puts us at about 41% of the way there and along with the two tiles that where unlocked two pieces of artwork also where made available.\r
One is an early black and white concept piece of
shown here. The other is a "moody" deception of Alliance architecture and boats originally shown at E3 which can be seen here.\r
There are 11,723 pictures left to be collected for the mosaic to finally be completed. So why don't you head over to the official Battlecry Mosaic site and submit a picture?\r
The Crimson Hall Available on January 19
05/01/2010 a las 15:19
And Muradin says...Now that the Plagueworks is open in
Ciudadela de la Corona de Hielo
, we know when the next wing will open. \r
's platform, you can find out how long until the next wing opens—and according to him the Crimson Hall, which contains the Blood Prince Council and
Reina de Sangre Lana'thel
, opens 2 weeks from today. That puts the release on January 19, 2010!\r
If Blizzard stays consistent with the last wing that would put the release of The Frostwing Hall and The Frozen Throne, which has
El Rey Exánime (Corona de Hielo)
himself, to be released on February 2, 2010—2 weeks after the release of the Crimson Hall.\r
Edit: Blue confirmed!\r
This is correct. \r
Then the next wing of Icecrown Citadel opens in 2 weeks.
Arena Season 7 Ending Soon
05/01/2010 a las 14:04
Frostwyrms, oh my!According to a post by Bornakk on the official forums, Arena Season 7 will be ending as early as January 19. When that time comes around it will take one week for Blizzard to calculate who will be eligible for end-of-season rewards, such as
Vermis de escarcha de Gladiador incansable
and season titles. \r
We are currently planning to end Arena Season 7 as early as January 19. At that point we will go through our normal process to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. This process should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the arena-specific titles and/or Relentless Gladiator’s Frostwyrm to refrain from transferring their character to another realm until after Arena Season 7 ends.\r
The following Arena Season will not begin for at least one week after the current season ends. During this time between seasons, all rated matches will be turned off and only skirmishes will be available. When Arena Season 8 begins, all team ratings, personal rating, and arena points will be wiped, but matchm

Looking Back at 2009 and Forward to 2010
02/01/2010 a las 01:36
Here we are, folks, right before the start of not only a new year but also a new decade. Hopefully, next year will provide us with new opportunities, new inventions, maybe even new resolutions—although, on second thought, I've really yet to meet someone dedicated to carrying out a New Year's resolution—and hopefully more happiness to everyone around the world.\r
Today we should take some brief time to look back on the year 2009, and take a moment to remember all the changes in our lives. It could be something as simple as getting a car. Or maybe you have a memory from something WoW-related, be it inside or outside the game itself.\r
What is your best memory of 2009? Remember, you can include something WoW-related! And what are you looking forward to when 2010 comes?\r
I've included a reflection of my own here, as well as one of Togikagi's. If you're interested in seeing the reflections, they are immediately after the break. :)
World of Warcraft Magazine 40-Page Preview
31/12/2009 a las 17:08
Table of ContentsThe fine folks over at Future US have been working on getting the first volume in the new World of Warcraft magazine ready for release. Now it's finally time to see the fruits of that labour!\r
They've released 40 pages (out of 148) of the magazine for everyone to read. It contains all kinds of interesting stuff from the table of contents of the full magazine to several pages dedicated to companion pets. Also touched on are stories from the past from early beta of the game, the Zombie Invasion, there is even articles on all three play styles (tanking, DPS and healing), and much more.\r
If that's enough to make you want to get the magazine itself (I know it is for me!) you can head over to their official site and order it for yourself.
Raiding as an Arcane Mage
29/12/2009 a las 14:58
I've recently started raiding heavily with an Arcane Mage, and I have to say, I'm loving it.\r
, threat management is as close to a non-issue as it could possibly be, and with the potential max DPS of
spam, there's an entirely different mini-game that emerges.
