The latest Dragonflight Alpha build has the first iteration of Dragonriding Talents available for testing, and we checked out the the system to improve your Dragonriding mounts!
What are Dragonriding Talents?
Dragonriding has its own separate talent tree, with many talents to improve the maneuverability of your Dragonriding mounts. These talents largely involve improving your Vigor resource management, allowing you to use your Dragonriding abilities more often, or staying more time in the air.

Learning Dragonriding Talents
You learn about Dragonriding talents during the introduction questline in Waking Shores. During the questline, you will meet with
at the Skytop Observatory, who is responsible for showing you the Dragonriding Talent trees.
It is currently unknown if Lithragosa is the only Dragonriding trainer that lets you deal with talents, but it is to be expected you will find other Dragonriding trainers in other Dragon Isles zones.
Dragonriding Talent Tree
Below we have the talent tree as it is shown on the latest Dragonflight Alpha build.
As of this current Dragonflight Alpha build, all Dragonriding talents have 1 Rank and cost 3 Dragonriding Talent Points.
Below we have a list of all talents. Some talents are tagged as NYI (Not Yet Implemented), but we are able to take educated guesses on what these talents will be by looking at the datamining:
Row 1:
NYI: This talent is not yet implemented.
According to datamining, this talent could be
: After falling for a second, your dragon isle drake extends its wings to propel you both forward. Pointing your drake toward any given direction propels you both forward.
Row 2:
You must learn all 3 talents before advancing to the next row.
: Your Vigor is increased to 4.
: Your Vigor regeneration rate is accelerated to 1 Vigor every 25 sec while grounded.
:
generates 1 Vigor every 10 seconds.
Row 3:
NYI: This talent is not yet implemented.
According to datamining, this talent could be
:
blocks Djaradin projectiles.
Row 4:
NYI: These talents are not yet implemented. This is a choice node.
According to datamining, these talents could be:
: Dismounting shields nearby allies and increases their movement speed by 20% for 5 sec.
: Dismounting damages nearby enemies and slows them by 30% for 5 sec.
Row 5:
: Your Vigor regeneration rate is accelerated to 1 Vigor every 20 sec while grounded.
Row 6:
: You can use
to dismount airborne enemy players.
Row 7:
This is a choice node. You can choose between the following talents:
: Acquiring herbs or minerals increases your Vigor recharge rate by 10% for 10 sec.
: Defeating an enemy increases your Vigor recharge rate by 10% for 3 sec.
Row 8:
: Your Vigor is increased to 5.
Row 9:
: Your Vigor is increased to 6.
: Your Vigor regeneration rate is accelerated to 1 Vigor every 15 sec while grounded.

generates 1 Vigor every 5 seconds.
Obtaining Dragonriding Talent Points
Dragonriding Talent Points are obtained by completing small challenges scattered around the Dragon Isles: You must locate dragon glyphs in all 4 main zones of the Dragon Isles and pass through them while dragonriding. These glyphs are located in hidden places through the Dragon Isles, usually in very high up places that will take some dragonriding skills to get to.

Each glyph grants an achievement as well as 1 Dragonriding talent point. With 10 glyphs per zone, there are a total of
40 Achievements and talent points
to obtain. The great news is, as these glyphs are linked to achievements,
Dragonriding talent points are account-wide!
You only need to collect each glyph once for all characters on your account to gain access to the Dragonriding talent point associated to that glyph.
