Hatching of the Hippogryphs Micro-Holiday

The micro-holiday
Despertar del Hipogrifo
runs through February 23rd. During this micro-holiday, you can befriend the hippogryphs and even get a baby one to sit on your shoulder.
This micro-holiday is now live on NA and EU realms.

Acquiring the Frayfeather Hatchling
Head to the Frayfeather Highlands in central Feralas, south of Dire Maul. Here you will find nests with Frayfeather eggs!
Go right up to one of the nests and start incubating one of the eggs. You will see emotes in chat indicating your progress on the egg.
After a few seconds the egg will hatch and
Prole Plumavieja
will be perched on your shoulder for 24 hours, persisting through death.
Once you have acquired a Hatchling,
Lorthalium
will become hostile as well. This rare elite drops an item which increases the duration of the Hippogryph on your shoulder to 5 days (
Pluma espectral
).
The Hatchling is visible on some other disguises as well but disappears on ones which change your character's model. For example on a night elf, the hippogryph is visible with
Sombrero de novato místico
but disappears with
Joya de Fuego Infernal
. On a Draenei, this would be reversed.
Your Hatchling will periodically send you emotes as well:
Your Frayfeather Hatchling sighs contentedly.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling starts to doze off.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling stretches its wings.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling digs its claws into your shoulders.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling seems impressed.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling wants to see more of the world.
Your Frayfeather Hatchling seems bored.
Hippogryphs in WoW
There are many fun hippogryphs in WoW to collect as mounts and pets! Take these out and ride forth to keep your Frayfeather Hatchling company.
