Maintenance Complainers: Justified?

Every single Tuesday on North American servers and every single Wednesday on EU servers, Blizzard takes down their servers for maintenance. Sometimes it's for full maintenance, and other times it's for rolling restarts. Since this has been the normal routine for over four years now, one thing really confuses me. It's not the fact that Blizzard even
does
maintenance in the first place; rather, what confuses me is the fact that players still complain about it. It makes me wonder why they complain about in the first place, and if they've not found a way to cope with the 6-8 hour inconvenience.
Let's venture into the realm of possibilities!
The time on which maintenance is held.
Maintenance is usually scheduled from 3am to 11am PDT on NA servers, and 3am to 11am CET on EU servers. For the majority of players, this is a pretty convenient time because it's the early morning hours; on the other hand, we must also remember that World of Warcraft is played worldwide by over 12 million players. So even if maintenance is done during off-peak hours for the
majority
of players, somewhere on this planet it's going to be during peak hours.
Personally, I feel that those who complain about
when
the maintenance is done don't really hold any ground. Yes, I do realize that they're still inconvenienced, but let's be fair—is it ever possible to schedule maintenance at a time that affects absolutely nobody in a negative fashion? As unfortunate as it is, these players happen to be part of a minority of players inconvenienced by maintenance's time.
The day of the week on which maintenance is held.
As I previously mentioned, maintenance is held every Tuesday on North American servers and every Wednesday on EU servers. These days were selected for the same reason the time maintenance was selected—because it affects the least amount of people overall.
Personally, I feel that Tuesdays/Wednesdays are not a bad day to schedule maintenance: it's during the middle of week; not many holidays usually fall on these days; and it certainly is better than having maintenance during the weekend considering most players tend to play WoW during this time.
To recap, I think we can all agree that maintenance is an inconvenience for everyone in a way; however, we must also remember that maintenance is necessary and it's what keeps World of Warcraft going. If you have nothing to do when the servers, then now would be the best time to plan ahead and find something to do that will allow you to keep your mind off WoW.
Overall, do you think that those who complain about maintenance hold any ground? What do you do during maintenance hours? Are you personally inconvenienced by the hours in which regular maintenance is held at? If so, have you found any successful methods to somehow take your mind of WoW during maintenance?
