PSA - Renown Hearthstone Does Not Teleport You to Covenant

The Renown 11 Hearthstone toy is a normal Hearthstone with a covenant-themed animation. While the tooltip makes this toy's purpose very clear, some players assumed based on the name that it would teleport you to each covenant's sanctum. Comments pointing out how the Hearthstone toy actually works are very-highly upvoted on Wowhead, like this exchange:

So to recap, the Covenant Hearthstones are similar to toys like
Piedra de hogar del Jinete decapitado
and
Piedra de hogar de anciano lunar
, serving as a regular Hearthstone with a fancy animation. They do not work like
Piedra de hogar de la ciudadela
or
Piedra de hogar de Dalaran
which teleported you to an additional specific place.
Back in October, we asked Game Director Ion Hazzikostas about the
possibility of covenant portals
and here's what he had to say:
If you upgrade your Transportation Network to level 3, that actually also adds a portal to Oribos from your sanctum and so at that point, players should feel free to set their hearths in their sanctum and have free access to Oribos and the other zones from that and that becomes a quick shortcut.
Basically--set your Hearthstones to the covenant sanctum since you'll get a portal to Oribos through upgrading the transportation network.
