[Spoilers] The Fate of the Lich King

So apparently some kind people found out what happens to the Lich King at the end. Or almost. If you follow the YouTube link at the beginning of my (short) blog, you will see an animation of him as he appears at the end of the Icecrown Citadel. I won't reveal anything about the animation in this section, but you can check it out and read a little about it after the break.
And just a few things before we start the comment-off - just facts we know as official Lore. Arthas and Ner'zhul do not exist as separate people/spirits/souls. There is only the Lich King. The LK shares his two "creators" memories and a small number of their emotions and goals, but that's it. Do not think of him as "Arthas" or "Ner'zhul", because the differences are more than the similarities. And if you go back to the Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne cinematic, where Arthas merges with Ner'zhul, you will notice that the "
Now we are one!
" phrase doesn't come until Arthas dons the helm... just something to think about as you watch and read.
But one thing looks certain.
Snape kills Arthas in 3.3.
He is dead. Dead dead. Kaput. He did not run away, did not get sucked into the Frozen Throne, Ner'zhul and Arthas did not split, fight, or redeem each other, nor were we left looking smug, with a subtle message about setbacks, mongrels, and interference. I assume some nice flashy animation will follow the Lich King's death, and we won't see it for a little while, but the core idea is there. He is dead, for Light's sake!
Now, before I leave you speculating as much as you want, let me pose a quick question. Or two.
Where is Frostmourne? And why did the Lich King reach for his
helm
, out of all the things in the world?
It's not like it gives him his powers... right?
