Torghast Disconnect Bug Inflates Enemy Health and Damage - 683 Million Health Boss Goxul the Devourer

discovered a new meaning of pain while progressing through Torghast, after a disconnected member of their party relogged in front of a 683 million health boss!

destroyed their team in short order, dealing upwards 3 million damage with
, and ending their run very quickly.
While Torghast has some crazy scaling and has been criticized by some players for its extreme difficulty, this actually doesn't appear intended. Aside from the fact that it would be the highest health mob currently in the post-squish game by a rather wide margin, even a group of 5 players couldn't hope to take it down without some gimmick aside from normal anima powers obtained over the course of a run.
Instead, this seems to actually be the result of a bug related to players disconnecting while part of a group within Torghast. The
commented that a player was disconnected while on floor 5 and somehow logged back in on floor 6 where he was greeted by the boss.
I think this is a bug. We had a guy who got dc at the floor 5, and he appeared on floor 6 when he logged in. We had to kill ourselves and released at floor 6. Then when we looked at the boss... BAM 683 million.

A similar thing happened during my run. Someone DCed on floor one near the end so we finished clearing it and went up to floor two. I think the person returned but still showed offline in our party. Then the fun began...
A mawrat had 3m HP and killed me instantly as the tank at the entrance. I thought it was going to be fun at first because I charmed it and figured we could speed clear the level... but it ended up that every monster on the floor was scaled and instakilled us lol.
I could see it being a design thing to keep people from inviting just to kill the boss or something weird. It is kind of dumb though that it triggers from disconnects.
It seems fairly clear that this is an obscure bug triggered in groups when a player disconnects and relogs mid-run, as groups progressing normally through the activity have not experienced these obscenely powerful enemies through normal party size scaling. Perhaps it has something to do with the
squish, or any number of other spaghetti strings becoming intertwined, but one thing is for certain - you will not survive!
