Ulduar Bosses (Part I)
14/04/2009 a las 18:53
Hello, there, eager and not-so-eager raiders and readers!
Patch 3.1 is upon us! And with it, I feel confident enough to present to you something new. For the first time in Wowhead's history, we have boss information and strategies, fresh from the PTR, as soon as the patch hits the Live realms!
Without further ado, I give you
, updated with articles for three quarters of the bosses we have
With the extensive testing that is about to happen within the next week or so, I expect all of the bosses to have complete strategies, hard mode explanations, and lists of abilities. Until then, you are more than welcome to check the following bosses, discuss them, suggest improvements, love them, cuddle with them, and use their strategies as soon you manage to get your epic character in the brand new raid!
The Siege of Ulduar
The giant construct, designed as a part of
's ultimate weapon "V0-L7R-0N", greets the players with an exciting vehicle-based encounter! After choosing one out of three different vehicles, the players will clear a gauntlet full of Iron Dwarves and Giants, demolishing towers and applying destructive forces in unimaginable amounts. And after the gauntlet is clear, and the Iron Dwarves are getting rusty, the Flame Leviathan will engage the brave raiders himself!
Once one of the greatest Broodmothers of the proto-drakes, and mount of the mighty
was captured by
. No mortal knows what horrors he has done to the Proto-drake, but Veranus is now his loyal servant and bears the name Razorscale. She can be found in her Aerie in Ulduar, getting ready to lay waste on the dwarven team sent to tame her. Her name befits her—she is fully armored with iron and runes, and her scales can cut through the hardest of metals!
A new class of golem, XT-002 exists with but a single purpose - to destroy. He is imbued with powers of both Light and Shadow, and his destructive capability is nearly endless. Brave heroes of Azeroth, do not be deluded by the childish glee he performs his task with, for he is just as much your mortal enemy as anything else in Ulduar. But...even as deadly as XT-002 is, he has a heart. A heart that restrains his combat abilities, a heart that makes him safer. Beware, raiders, for destroying that heart will unleash the
might of the Deconstructor.
Ignis the Furnace Master
The giant smith, former servant of the Makers, his mind now corrupted by Yogg-Saron—Ignis believes his former masters' creations to be faulty and imperfect. He is now dedicated to crafting his own Iron Constructs, stronger, faster,
than anything Azeroth can send against him. Located in the Colossal Forge, he works diligently day and night to create a better world...where evil can finally triumph. Are you ready to face the master smith in his own domain?
The Antechamber of Ulduar
Assembly of Iron
After breaching the outer lines of defense of Ulduar, the players will enter the Antechamber where a host will welcome them—a host hard like iron. The Assembly of Iron, also known as the Iron Council, has three members—chosen carefully amongst the strongest of all Iron creatures. Steelbreaker, with his fists able to shake the earth. Runemaster Molgeim, who commands the runes of power and death. And Stormcaller Brundir, capable of controlling lightning like you control your hands. It is up to you to battle iron with iron, and steel with steel.
The enormous giant stands in the way to the inner chambers of Ulduar and the sanctuaries of its former Keepers. His eyes can fire beams, his breath can petrify, his shout can cause walls to collapse, and his arms are capable of squeezing every bit of life out of any mortal. It is rumored that, if defeated, his very body will supply the mighty heroes the Alliance and the Horde with passage to the Keepers' lands.
A titanic guardian in appearance, Auriaya is more beast than a woman. She is the last line of defense before the inner chambers of Ulduar and its Keepers. Her minions are panthers of incredible prowess, and even her voice is capable of not only deafening adventures, but killing them in place. To add even more flavor, she is standing exactly above Yogg-Saron's prison, and if you prove to be formidable enough to defeat here, you can spend a few minutes gazing at the destruction the Old God has caused to his tomb.
The Keepers of Ulduar
One of the Titanic Watchers, Mimiron is a mechanognome with a brilliant mind and the incredible skills of an inventor. His designs surpass everything a gnome of flesh has ever created. The Flame Leviathan encountered by the players in the beginning of the raid is his creation - and so are three more vehicles he uses freely whenever invaders come to his workshop. You may find him quite enjoyable and humorous to talk to, for he is the archetypal absent-minded professor...only beware that he now serves the Old God of Death, and distracted as he may be, the power of his creations is unmatched.
To be continued...
ready to face the evil even the Titans could not fully defeat?
