Wowhead: More Static to You

The development team here at Wowhead has made some changes to the way we serve up static content on our servers. We have been moving files that do not change often (such as images) to a new server to help improve the performance of the site. Today, we completed that move.
For those of you who are using the
Powered by Wowhead
tooltips or the
Spread Wowhead
logos or search boxes, you should update your pages to take advantage of this performance gain.
You will need to look for references where your image or script files are loaded from the following URL:
http://www.wowhead.com
Those references should be updated so they load the images and scripts from this URL instead:
http://static.wowhead.com
You can refer to the
existing
documentation
as it will have updated examples for use. We have a redirect in place, so those of you who have yet to update your sites should not encounter any issues. However, we will be removing this redirect in about
a month
, so we ask that you edit your sites to point to the new location so that both Wowhead and your site can take advantage of the performance gains made by this move.
If you have any questions regarding this update, please leave them in the comments. We will make every effort to answer them as quickly as possible so you can update your sites accordingly.
