Xiaomi Plans To Sell World Of Warcraft Branded Phones, Could A WoW Mobile Game Be In The Works?
28/08/2019 a las 22:32
for Redmi Phones, Xiaomi revealed that they are going to sell two World of Warcraft branded Mobile Phones. Because of the strange pairing of World of Warcraft and a mobile phone, could this be a mobile phone geared toward a Gaming audience?
As reported earlier today
, Blizzard is suing Sina Games, who developed Glorious Saga, a mobile game ripoff of World of Warcraft. Could Blizzard be developing a Mobile Game within the WoW universe?
Right after the launch of Classic World of Warcraft in China, Xiaomi announced their plans to release two special edition Redmi Note 8 Pro Phones. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is heavily focused on photography and gaming, as rumors of a four-camera setup and a high end gaming processor, the MediaTek Helio G90T, clocked at 2.05GHz. A mere 5 days ago,
Xiaomi also shared
that they were partnering with Blizzard for the release of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The World of Warcraft "Horde" and "Alliance" edition of the Xiaomi Note 8 Pro is set to release tomorrow, August 29, 2019.
On Xiaomi's official Weibo page, the company
posted a picture of a Night Elf Druid
in the player select screen, asking their followers what Server they intend to play on. World of Warcraft Classic seems to be fairly popular in China,
as many players there also faced the Queue boss
As reported earlier today
, Blizzard is suing another Chinese company, Sina Games, for copyright infringement. While this news could be unrelated to the new Xiaomi Phone release, could Blizzard be developing a Mobile Game within the WoW Universe? It would make sense that
they were intending to release a new Mobile Game, in conjunction with this new phone release, maybe they would take a closer look at games "borrowing" their intellectual property. Why hasn't Blizzard come down on Glorious Saga before? Seems kind of
they would wait until now to do something about it.
If it isn't an entirely new mobile game, maybe Blizzard is just going to put Battle for Azeroth on Mobile?
