Actually, though it seems kind of crushing the little guy the issue that Blizzard had was mostly in the name...and whether it was truly a copy of WoW that he intended to make money off of. If you read more about the story you can see that he was treated rather fairly, they worked with him on what would be the best way to go on from there, changing the name and some other things so that it wasn't a copyright infringement problem. Now some may still argue with that but really, paying for the kid to go out to Blizz HQ talk to the devs and such is a pretty darn good trade for having your youtube vid axed and having to change the name of your mod. I mean most major corporations would just axe the youtube video and ban the guy or something. Copyright is serious business and it sounds to me like it was handled very maturely and dare I say fairly (at least in terms of existing copyright law).(This is in reply to the user "gmail"'s post. They just removed the videos I think. I am more interested in this WoW in the classroom business. Haha.

I always find it funny, how members from 1-3years ago only post once, but never again, do you guys hide in the shadows?
Just hit the ilevel for heroics today.I believe that this is very much at the heart of the issue, and I hope that you'll reconsider your stance.Essentially, while you may have crossed the barrier that kept you from entering a heroic instance, that doesn't necessarily mean that your character is quite ready for those encounters until you've accrued more gear. It might be easier to view the minimum item level as a way of preventing those who have little hope of success from queuing, rather than carte blanche for assured victory once you hit the threshold. If you're willing, you might find it beneficial to spend a little bit more time in regular dungeons, as well as acquiring reputation items or crafted gear, before you pass final judgment on whether healing is the right path for you in Cataclysm. After you're wearing gear that's a bit more appropriate to the challenge that the content presents, you might even find it fun.Regardless, I hope you find the path that's the most enjoyable for you. This got my interest. Why on earth did they set the iLvL for Heroics where it is if they insist that you shouldn't try them when you get to that level? Come on, if you shouldn't go in at 329, then up the requirements to 335 or something.Cheers.
I love healing on my resto druid ... so far. But I just hit 56, so a lot of people will disregard my opinion because, to them, only endgame matters. Fair enough, that's where most of your time is spent. But, I have to say, unless there is a drastic change... healing on my druid is fun, at least at the moment. Unless the group is really stupid and tries to pull mobs like they did in WotLK, Rejuv is my main heal, leaving all that downtime in between Rejuv casts for my spirit to regen my mana. I'm at full mana. A lot. And I end fights with less than half RARELY. I even have mana to spare for the knucklehead melee DPS that doesn't know they should be attacking from behind the mob. There's even some for the elemental shamans and mages and boomchickens who don't understand that when you're in a group, if you get aggro, you need to do two things: 1) stop attacking 2) learn to play your class. The one thing you don't do is: 1) keep nuking as hard as you can. Before you think I'm an enabler, if I have the mana to spare and the tank is okay, I heal them... at first. Then I kindly and patiently ask them to not do that and why. If they listen, they get more heals, because sometimes stuff just happens. If they insist on being stupid, they're going to get a repair bill, full mana or not.Call me a jerk if you want, but I've tanked raids as a warrior and I've dpsed raids as a hunter. It's not hard if you just take the time to learn from those who are willing to teach. And, this way... I don't run out of mana. >:-)
For all the people complaining about how hard healing is: Yes, it's hard at first, but it gets easier. If your rotation isn't working, try coming up with a new one. That's what I did and it helped a lot. You can also get better gear by grinding rep or doing normal dungeons. Better gear seems like a simple concept, but you'd be surprised by how much it helps. And if all else fails, respec into dps. There isn't a single healing class that doesn't also have a dps, or even maybe a tanking spec.
