So far, I have ran my Pandaren Monk, Troll Druid, Blood Elf Rogue, Worgen Hunter, & Draenei Paladin (all level 90s) all through the dungeon for the first time. They all got the Direbrewfest achievement but only the Rogue got the Direbrew's Dire Brew for the Direbrew's Dire Brew quest. Is anyone else having this issue?EDIT: My main (level 90 Blood Elf Warlock) did the dungeon for the first time last year and she did the quest then. I also completed What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been achieve during the last Children's Week.
Got upgraded Direbrew's Bloodied Shanker iLVL 470 from barrell with itemID 107217 (wowhead still doesn't know about that item). Stats: dmg 3641-6763, speed 2.0, +411 agi, +617 stam, +294 crit, +241 hit
Tremendous Tankard O' Terror: this HAS BEEN upgraded for MoP but can be transmogged.I just won mine, and it's 470 ilvl (requires level 90) - item ID: 107218. So good luck and happy hunting ^^
Well then, I take back most of my complaints. :D
Doesn't feel like much has changed besides the tankard wep and new pandaren brew vendors.Coren Direbrew is still easy as hell, now that does not need to change :D
When I first started playing WoW, Brewfest was my first holiday in game. Each year has been great. This is very disappointing that no changes have been made. 470 ilvl trinks? Why? With Timeless Isle 496 ilvl gear no one will even want to kill Coren anymore. Poor guy will have to drink alone this year.
I made $20 betting a friend there would be no item level upgrades over last years brewfest event, it was kind of unfair though as he has only been playing just over a year, oh well I spent the money on beer so all is well.
So what's everyone's best time on Coren? With the massive ilevel increases since last year, he has melted the last two times I've done it.According to DBM that last kill took 40 seconds. Though we could have done it faster... the 3rd DPS was *only* doing 70k :p ... No check that, the HEALER (Monk) was doing 70k, the 3rd DPS was a Lock doing 20k :(
They did update the boe Weapons to 470 finally =D Late though
Quick question: I know that last year's event took play almost immediately after Mists' release, but it also took place before the change to when/how zone-wide events take place. They standardized things like sunrise/set, dailies resets, dungeon lockouts, and both the Darkmoon Faire and Gurubashi arenas' start times according to PST (at least for U.S. servers).Given this, does that mean that the Brewfest Enthusiast buff will be going out at 6:15 a.m. and p.m. according to this standardization? This guide still says 'server time', but I've shown up to the stage 3 times since Brewfest started but Vol'jin did not show. I have been no less than 5 minutes early each time and stayed at least 10 minutes late, but each time...nothing. Someone in the comments section for spell mentioned that he's hard to catch because of CRZ, but that post was also before the standardization.I'm going to try to catch him at 6:15 p.m. PST tonight and will update with any info.UPDATE: It would appear that the standardization is the case. Tapper Swindlekeg even threw out a /yell 20 and 10 minutes prior to announce Vol'jin's impending arrival. Look to get this buff at 6:15 a.m. and p.m. PST if you are on U.S. servers.
Tankard of Terror wasn't upgraded? Ha! My sources say otherwise.
They updated to item level 370 as of today. Yesterday I had gotten two items in the kegs and both were 365. So hopefully they updated the items that drop to 370. The *new* stats of the Shanker are as follows. One Hand3,641-6,762 Damage Dagger(2,600 dps) 411 Agility617 Stamina294 Critical Strike241 HitRequires Level 90 Sell Price : 44g 38s 2cAccording to the item page two other people have have also gotten the item with these stats.
I am really disappointed about the gear I really waited for those tank trinkets they could at least make them level 490 or something since now with timles isle you can easily get gear item level 496 and upgrade it to 535 using Burden of Eternity. I am not referring only to the trinkets to all the gear from brewfest or other Events that have this type of gear.
The Ram Racing Reins have been deleted and the Extra Action Button now controls the speed up function.
The semi-daily 'Do you still need some help moving kegs from the crash site... ?' has been turned into a real daily now: it's called Brew for Brewfest. FYI the info on the page is wrong: it's just copied from the Horde version (Brew for Brewfest) and sounds more like the quest Now This is Ram Racing... Almost... but it's actually the new way to accumulate Brewfest Tokens through ram racing.
