Even feral druids and rogues, who DO have several similarities, are still two completely different classes that feel different, and play different.Doubly so with monks, who apart from wearing leather and having energy are also completely different from rogues. What's with this trend now that every new leather class has to be compared to rogues? or say that it will replace rogues?I never saw any warrior or paladin complaining that DKs would replace them when they were added.Demon Hunters wont have combo points. They wont stealth. They wont pickpocket, They wont use poisons. They wont have lots of crowd control. They wont have lots of DoTs. They wont use a multitude of weapons (in fact, for the entirety of Legion they'll use exclusively glaives). They wont have lots of escape buttons (Sprint, Vanish, etc).So there's no basis for saying that they'll replace rogues.Demon Hunters wont heal. They wont stagger damage. They wont fight with their hands and feet. They wont use a Chi-like system for their resource (In fact, their resource is a lot more similar to a warrior's) they wont have many brews they can drink to enhance themselves briefly. So there's no basis for saying that they'll replace monks either.
They did confirm that they will be adding another character slot so you can have one of each class per server, with Demon Hunters.
Guys, does anyone know which week or day of august, or maybe not even in august then when will we be able to buy the pre-order?
On August 9,The presenter asked the same question to 1 of the 3 guys of Blizz and they said there will be an extra slot for the new class. So dont worry and start the new class without deleting anything.Link to q&a of the wowGC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EA_D1ivzIEE
I'm a little confused - but than I could have my lore off (I'm relatively new to actually following it) - but how can we be back in our original timeline? Isn't Gul'dan supposed to be dead in our timeline? I understand he died in the tomb of Sargeras, but now he's running around it releasing Illidan, and he is one of the bosses we're killing in the second raid in Legion. It's not computing for me that we're back to the way things were. Honestly, I think they've rebooted the game in a way - just need to bring in J.J. Abrams to Star Trek it up some more.
WoD Guldan was sent to regular Azeroth.
Why leather?Mail would have been better for dynamics,They can spout "Lore" but that is just semantics. They use the term Lore to justify whatever design choice they want. As seen from Cata onwards Lore does not mean canon. So its 2/3rds of a monk.A leather dps and tank now less the healer option....Would have been better as a tank / healer to fill vital roles that often lead to high queue times.
No Hero Class healer, again. :(

Beautiful! I can't wait to make one!
Blizz, for the love of all that is holy, make metamorphosis like the worgen form. Idc if it auto activates when in combat or if you get a choice. As long as it isn't a timed thing. Please.
I may be wrong and it may be cosmetic but my guess is that it will come with a (probably significant) buff attached and, as such, will have an uptime and cooldown.
My take on it is that it'll probably be along the lines of the warlock's current metamorphosis, or the monk's Tigereye Brew. Its not a cooldown per se, but you still gotta build up a certain resource before activating it.If it was more like the druid's shapeshift form, then what incentive would we ever have to not have it on at all times? IMO that would greatly diminish the "omph" factor of the transformation. The act of transforming should be accompanied by a sudden burst of power. Like a Sayan going Super Sayan mode, Or like when The Avatars go into Avatar State on both The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra respectively. It creates a great and fun juxtaposition, going from a badass normal, to a super-powered God Mode that lets you kill enemies by flexing your pecs at them slightly. That certainly looks a lot cooler than just reducing Demon Form to our default state and have it be just a "meh" mode that changes our appearance but doesn't actually carries the tremendous increase in power that it should have.
the really important question is what color will DHs be in raid frames!
