Really interested with that last excerpt in particular. I'd like to see what they mean by Jaina having an abnormal side to her.

Really interested with that last excerpt in particular. I'd like to see what they mean by Jaina having an abnormal side to her.\r\rMy guess is that we'll see more of the ticked-off badass Jaina who's hell-bent on the Horde's destruction by whatever means possible, regardless of consequence; these are not the hallmarks of a normal, "good" individual. I feel like "abnormal" in this case is an ambiguous translation that could easily have been intended to mean "bad".

I don't think abnormal was the exact word used (we had a friend translate this, but other automatic translation services suggested 'unusual'). I reached out to the press outlet asking if they had a recording of the interview, but they conducted the interview via a translator and did not have a recording. It would have been useful though because people are interested in anything discussing factions and word-choice is important.

What I interpreted that to say was something like this:\r\r"Yeah, that's our bad, we released the stories of Teldrassil and Lordaeron to build up hype, and the way those stories unfold do make the Horde look "evil". However, we will be releasing three animations prior to the launch of BfA. They will cover a few characters. You may find that Jaina has a different side to her. You'll see the good side of the Horde. They will also shed some light on the motivation behind the assault on Lordaeron, it's not justice. The intent behind the attack is to show the King's dignity, and the other Alliance members may not necessarily agree with this move."\r\rLet me know if we get official English text for this, but until then I think that's what they were trying to say.

I definitely think he meant to say Mogu. Why would Mag'har care? They aren't even on our planet.

How nice of Blizzard to finally admit they fired a broadside of torpedoes at the Horde playerbase and only now want to "fix" it in a non-english interview that needs to be translated. It's almost as if they're deliberately screwing with us at this point. Also; I don't freaking care about animations showing Horde being nice and certain Alliance chars being jerks if in the game we have to be evil, spreading blight, fighting for undead domination, seeing entire villages of innocents bombed and the people within maimed by Horde troops.I mean what are they saying here? "It's all okay because Jaina is a jerk too?" Yes I'm already well aware of what you did to Jaina thank you. Nothing Jaina does even begins to balance or justify the atrocities the Horde commit and even if they did Blizzard have been repeatedly told that "balancing" the Horde's disgusting behaviour by making the Alliance horrible too does not solve everything because a) Alliance players don't want to be "the bad guy" either and b) any Alliance misbehaviour can and will be justified by the fact that the Horde struck first with unecesarilly brutal and Scourge-like tactics.Really interested with that last excerpt in particular. I'd like to see what they mean by Jaina having an abnormal side to her.My guess is that we'll see more of the ticked-off badass Jaina who's hell-bent on the Horde's destruction by whatever means possible, regardless of consequence; these are not the hallmarks of a normal, "good" individual. I feel like "abnormal" in this case is an ambiguous translation that could easily have been intended to mean "bad".They can certainly make Jaina deal with dark forces to try and stop the Horde,or have her go totally genocidal (which is a whole other discussion on ruining her character further but I won't get into that here). But here's the problem: The impact is diminished when all of her assertions about the evil brutality of the Horde are proved completely true.Whatever happens will be a response to a vicious, unprovoked attack on Teldrassil followed by the usage of Blight (lowering the Horde to the level of the Scourge) as a scorched earth tactic at Undercity, followed by Zul literally setting fire to Stormwind. followed by Sylvanas launching another unprovoked attack on Kul Tiras civilians for the express purpose of raising their bodies as undead minions (again, Scourge 2).At that point I don't care if she summons N'Zoth himself to flatten Orgrimmar in a sea of tentacles. They would *deserve* it. Of course they will have completely inverted Jaina's character and made her a butcher, but a butcher that the Horde created.I mean basically it's like saying we were morally wrong to invade Argus, murder thousands upon thousands of demons, obliterate their command structure and "capital" at Antorus, ruin their society by removing their means of resurrection and destroying Argus' world soul likely leaving the planet to wither away to dust. Why isn't that a problem? Oh yeah. the Legion deserved it. They declared total war on Azeroth and got total war in return. Why, exactly, is the Alliance to be judged if they respond in kind to the Horde doing likewise?Blizzard's attempts at "moral balance" seem extremely ham-fisted and juvenile at best.

Legion had a lot of changes to personal loot. The dev team is trying to solve problems like trinkets where you want to trade but can't (class-specific trinket issues). Trying to solve issues of friction. The side-effect is addressing the split raids.\r\rAnd of course. Why allow the hardcore players to do stuff they have rightfully earned by spending hours upon hours on this game, when you can just strip them of this choice, and kill any chances for a decently paced progression for casual guilds while you're at it. Why even have the option for a Master Loot available when you can just force what you think is right down everyone's throats.\r\rEach expansion provides a way to evaluate changes that have been in place for a while, such as the GCD. These changes are designed to make you think ahead, so they feel powerful and meaningful. There will always be exceptions to the rule as well. From an encounter PoV, there will never be a moment when you need to instantly break a shield in say 5 seconds.\r\rAside the fact this just makes gameplay more boring in the long run, it drastically reduces burst phases of the classes themselves, therefore less damage goes out overall. Removing priority dps mechanics is one thing, but this damage reduction across the board makes the raiding experience as a whole slow down, both in terms of progression and in terms of farm. And yes, 2 seconds each pull can accumulate up to an extra or no pull at the end of the raid.
They need to just give us jania's childhood home and just hide random dreadlordy things inside of it.
"No ETA on Antorus nerfs, but they are looking at it. There are also organic ways to feel stronger, such as upgrading your Antorus trinket every week or Titanforged pieces."Oh, so you're talking about those great organic ways to feel stronger, but you made them take weeks upon months to obtain? I have maybe 1 toon out of my 3 heaviest played that have the Antorus trinket. Running every week and I still haven't seen it drop for my rogue or DK in well over a month. Why act like it's so easy to get the pantheon trinket when you have 6 upgrades sitting in your bags and nothing to use them on? Or when you're really unlucky and you get maybe 1-2 pieces of gear per run? I don't think being smashed into a wall week after week until you catch a lucky break can really be considered organic.Edit; I couldn't help but continue to think about the topic of gear and how Antorus things are supposed to make you stronger. Makes me wonder if they'll ever address the fact that Fury warriors still have to use a trinket from two raids ago just to be relevant. I know there's a lot of &*!@ things tier wise (priests still using t20) but Fury warriors actually got the $%^&tiest end of the stick in terms of things they have to go after.
So Jaina is said to have an abnormal side on her but they said she's not corrupted in anyway? They either had a change of mind or we're getting the first abnormality that doesn't need a dark spooky power behind. I find the former more plausible, since someone goiung mental without having the OGs to blame at sounds like bull coming from BlizziePlus, I know Blizzard meant Mag'har but I can't say I wouldn't find Mogu hella cool for an alliance race, There's just the hurdle of being a megalomaniac race that wants to conquer other races and enslave them. But many don't seem to find a problem with it when it comes to nagas so I'll just let it sink in.
