Studen is a pretty cool stream to watch for farming tips, and farming (especially multibox farming) is pretty cool to watch. I don't often watch gold making streams but they always provide great tips when I tune in.
I just had a couple characters that I regularly did the gold missions on. I liked lazy free money, but the hassle of jumping between characters to keep missions running and farming order resources just wasn't worth it for me.
I think it'd be cool if the reputation tokens from order hall missions were more lucrative. Currently as far as gold is concerned they only push you towards getting the chests that give 500-800 g but that's not much better than 50g from ap, seeing as how you have to do 7-ish rep missions to get 1 chest.
Kruithne's recipe tool is awesome! I'm going to use this on my mage for sure! I've been trying to complete all tailoring and enchanting recipes as I go but knowing which Im missing is going to help a lot.
I will definitely be checking out the addon recommendation in BfA! To be completely honest I kind of hated running gold missions in the Order Hall. I kind of hated the order hall period tbh. I feel like the /r/woweconomy subreddit also contains plenty of useful information, would definitely recommend!
I personally really only cared about doing missions on one character, my main. It was too much grinding for me to level up all my alts followers to get it to where I could get those bigger gold missions (I do the little gold missions though!). I don't really mind doing them however (on one character) and the app certainly helped a ton as I am away from home about 2 1/2 - 3 days a week. I only wish they would have had a similar app for WoD (I still occasionally do some garrison missions so it would still be welcome, lol) and hope they make an app for all future things similar to that as well.
Got 8 characters that I farm gold missions on, really wish I started sooner :(
Unlike WoD, there are still no missions that you can use to gain order resources (unless you're a druid)what can druid's do
During the lull between expacks I have been farming old recipes and revisiting vanilla professions. I recently made sulfurons hammer, it has not sold yet but I am hopeful that it will when the darkiron dwarfs roll out maybe people will seek it for transmog.
this we can try tradeskillmaster4 for all it seems a good opportunity to try and see a bit how it works for I would like to see and try now is your chanceesto podamos probar tradeskillmaster4 para todos me parece una buena oportunidad para probar y ver un poco como funciona para quisiera ver y probar ahora es su oportunidad
TradeSkillMaster is like the LookingForGroup Addon, it adds a lot of nice things, but its UI design totally destroys the usual wow look. It would be nice if they were closer to the standard ui by blizzard
I don't exactly "farm" gold but I make sure to do gold missions on all toons. I have one of each class at 110. I went out of my way to get Albóndiga on all of them, it took a while but it was worth it. Meatball pretty much guarantees 200% on missions and on top of that, he got Extraña bola de energía that helps to fill up any gaps.
I'm curious. Is there a list somewhere with what I should probably not leave in my bank before the pre-patch goes live?
I've got 12 toons with fully-functioning order halls churning out quick gold on a daily basis in addition to playing the AH. While order halls are dull by comparison compared to selling old xmogs for 6-figure paydays, watching those gold balances rapidly pile up and having enough loose gold lying around to buy whatever I want makes it far from boring. Odds are I won't rush to get all my alts to 120 once BfA is in full swing but it'll definitely happen at some point, far faster if the gold missions return and are lucrative in any way.
The order hall thing is just a pain in my ass. I have multiple alts, and in past expansions I've been able to keep them going, and up to date, with only a few hours a week play. However since Legion, That's all gone downhill. Its near impossible to keep enough order hall resources to go do quests or have seals, or anything like that, I basically gave up and focused on my main char.
This was the first time I've actually done some gold making for myself and I preferred farming over anything but I feel like I really limited myself with only 1 character. I know a lot of people who would farm the gold missions across something like 11 alts and just make their money that way which sounds like an awesome, if I had 11 alts. Even though the gold missions are going away in 8.0, I really hope they bring something similar to it back in BfA so then I can justify a reason to make some more alts to myself.
I have 18 110s with access to mission tables. for most of the expansion only 6 or so had full access to the good gold missions. Over the last few months with nothing better to do i expanded that to 12, though they still weren't all fully argus geared. I was considering getting more of my toons' followers argus geared, the argus gear letting single followers solo missions was really nice, but with just a couple weeks left and confirmation they're going the way of the dodo there's no point now and I'm glad I didn't start. In bfa I should be able to get all 18 up and tabling pretty soon, depending on how much work it takes. World pvp going away will help with that, 9 of my toons are on a pvp server and it was quite a deterrent to getting them all out, 110'd and followers geared for missions.Edit: btw if you have follower equipment you probably won't use should consider vendoring them before the prepatch, They're probably going to nerf them to coppers like they did at the end of draenor.
I feel like today's post pretty much sums up my feelings about the Garrison and Order Hall gold missions: they are the laziest way to get gold, while so ridiculously lucrative that you cannot realistically pass them up. I had 10 maxed garrison missions in WoD, but only made it to Argus level Order Halls with 6 characters in Legion. I have 1 more recent boosted character that I'm actively prepping for goldmaking in BfA, but that's all I had time for this expansion. Otoh, I'm well set up to start BfA with my most gold ever, so yay me.
I had 7 characters set up for Order Hall mission grind, since that's how many characters I got to 110. I know it's not much comparing to some, but I didn't have it in me to level more. I don't plan to rush on setting up mission tables in BfA, since first I want to take my main thru the story slowly, but once I'm done, I'm certainly getting all my other characters there right away. I did enjoy passive mission grind. It was decent way for gold and amazing way for rep tokens, with which I got all rep mounts in no time.
