That guild control UI is used for both the communities ui and /guildroster. The old ui prior to 8.0 had a checkbox for each item currently under the "Is Officer" option.
This is a complete 180 from when they put in all those guild perks etc. in Cata. They’re basically removing guilds entirely. The only reason to be in a guild is for the hearthstone reduction and free repairs. Oh, and the name above your character’s head. I might as well make my own guild at this point for myself and my alts.
You still can't change rank permissions individually, this change is really uneccessary. This alongside the removal of guilds being able to use ML makes it look like they're trying to get riud of guilds in favor of communities. Communities are a great idea, but guilds should still have a reason for being. Don't change what isn't broken...
The Guild Ranks, Rank Permission, Bank Tab Permission is available on the new Guild UI.Go onto Info Tab(4th one down) - Click Guild Settings. There is also a Roster Tab(2nd one down) for Note Editing - Only thing I've noticed missing is "Members Online X / X"
At this point it would be better for everyone involved to just have Blizzard remove guilds because with all the changes in BFA it's obvious they no longer want guild in the game.
Thanks for the "/guildroster" command, really wish THIS was the UI element that opened up with the default button and the huge ass community style window was an expanded view you entered from the normal one. Frustrating opening up the guild tab out of habit to see who's online and it blocking my entire screen.
This appears to have been addressed in the latest beta build, at least. **regarding online out of total indicator** (edit, forgot to quote)Primary issues with the new guild frame between me and my Guild Leader buddies are 1: extremely limiting officer / permission controls, 2: can't sort by last online without using the old frame, 3: nobody can edit public notes without having "is officer" checked. Problem 1 is much more of an issue than problem 2, considering there's a workaround for problem 2 still (for now...), and problem 3 is more of an inconvenience but still frustrating toward communication. Having to use addons to solve some of these problems is frustrating.Logging in on tuesday to find most of my guild had "is officer" checked was also disorienting. Luckily I noticed before anyone else did.
I've made this suggestions many times in the past. In this age where people may be on connected realms and have 18 different character slots, each player may want to have 10-15 character in the guild / community. It doesn't take many people with 15 toons to whittle down the guild size from 1000 to 50 or 60.It should be accounts, not toons.
"Although the Community part of the UI has received overall praise among the community"What? when? what community? Look at EU AND US forums..
