Did the two parts in one go on my Undead, was "rewarded" with no justification for this stupid endeavor and got the same stupid cinematic in the end - I still hate it.I do not feel the war, I feel insulted. At least this whole garbage will be far away for a couple of weeks with the new regions to explore.Well, I hope so.
The fact that everyone is getting so emotional about the event means that blizzard actually accomplished their goal. Horde and Alliance have been friendly neighbours for so long with all these common enemies, I think blizzard knew it would take something extreme to shake people up. At this point Sylvanas is on her own crusade and is acting on her own personal vengeance. Her warchief reign will be short however the collateral damage she will leave will fuel plenty of conflicts. I'm looking forward to see it unfold, more so than lore in previous expansions.
you get both mounts if you complete the event on one side.
So... No FoS achievements to signify that we were there? I mean, I love the mount(s) but, when someone new compares the achievement and asks me "Hey! How can you get The Iron Invasion" I can tell him "Son, you weren't even born when the Iron Horde invaded Azeroth... Let me tell you a story". I can't do that with this.I can start telling the story about the horrors that horde unleashed upon Darnassus this day but newbies will be like "Oh yeah? Where is your Achievement to prove you were there?"
Next week we'll have the Battle for Loarderon scenario (And no cut in two chapter for no reason like Teldrassil...).We can espect to see one last missing cinematic (Azshara ? I don't believe it cause nothing to do here), but i think this can explain us what we're missed !Zandalari trolls aka "Wakanda trolls" will be the focus in 2 weeks so don't take in personnal, Sylvanas won't bother you that much, you can enjoy BfA, new isles, new warfronts, dungeons and quests :) !
Anyone who thinks this is out of character for Sylvanas hasn't been paying attention for the last 14 -- arguably 16 -- years. Or you've been lying to yourself the whole time.
It is by far the worst pre.patch content I have played, it is as if two people elaborated the content.
for the fhordh :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSQ5EK19vtU
While this action is indeed in character for Sylvanas, I think the storyline would've been far more interesting had another character been responsible for burning Teldrassil (Bellular had some interesting suggestions in the video he posted yesterday). As primarily a Horde player, I will say I'm disappointed that it seems likely that we'll be cycling through yet another Warchief. I don't see how she can be redeemed after this, and I frankly can't see the other Horde leaders being okay with this...okay, Gallywix won't care unless he felt there was profit in occupation. And, to be honest, I dislike my faction being painted so distinctly as "the bad guys" now. While the factions have always differed in their ideologies and methodologies, they were both far closer to the middle than they are now.Hopefully, Blizzard has some great storylines coming throughout BfA. And maybe something will happen that we just aren't seeing or expecting. But story-wise this seemed lazy and obvious to me.
I'm an Archmage and was asked to save people with a bucket of water... I could have ported them away!
Well, what I see is that people who like this portrayal of Horde always say to those who dislike it that "it's how it was always meant to be" and "stop playing if you don't like it."Well, OK. I don't see a reason why not to heed that advice. And I hear nothing from Blizzard other than the silent approval of this message: "Stop playing if you don't like it."Alright.
As long as the citizens of Darnassus, Dolanaar, and Shadowglen are safe in Stormwind, Teldrassil will be avenged.
Speaking of Dresden these are two accounts by survivors of the bombing. They could easily be about the Burning of Teldrassil:"It is not possible to describe! Explosion after explosion. It was beyond belief, worse than the blackest nightmare. So many people were horribly burnt and injured. It became more and more difficult to breathe. It was dark and all of us tried to leave this cellar with inconceivable panic. Dead and dying people were trampled upon, luggage was left or snatched up out of our hands by rescuers. The basket with our twins covered with wet cloths was snatched up out of my mother's hands and we were pushed upstairs by the people behind us. We saw the burning street, the falling ruins and the terrible firestorm. My mother covered us with wet blankets and coats she found in a water tub.We saw terrible things: cremated adults shrunk to the size of small children, pieces of arms and legs, dead people, whole families burnt to death, burning people ran to and fro, burnt coaches filled with civilian refugees, dead rescuers and soldiers, many were calling and looking for their children and families, and fire everywhere, everywhere fire, and all the time the hot wind of the firestorm threw people back into the burning houses they were trying to escape from.I cannot forget these terrible details. I can never forget them." — Lothar Metzger, survivor."To my left I suddenly see a woman. I can see her to this day and shall never forget it. She carries a bundle in her arms. It is a baby. She runs, she falls, and the child flies in an arc into the fire.Suddenly, I saw people again, right in front of me. They scream and gesticulate with their hands, and then—to my utter horror and amazement—I see how one after the other they simply seem to let themselves drop to the ground. (Today I know that these unfortunate people were the victims of lack of oxygen). They fainted and then burnt to cinders.Insane fear grips me and from then on I repeat one simple sentence to myself continuously: "I don't want to burn to death". I do not know how many people I fell over. I know only one thing: that I must not burn." — Margaret Freyer, survivor.
