I object to this change, and as a customer demand to see more evidence to WHY and HOW it caused problems.\r\ragreed. i see 0 issue with addons like this as a user of WQ group finder, and or toons that like server hopping for rares an whatnot an now theyre gonna cockblock that ? what the felweed blizzard?\r\rexplanations please blizz.
So they're killing the most efficient ways to group with other people...in an MMO game? I'm beginning to think that Saurfang isn't the only idealist with no sense of reality.
This is ridiculous. There\u2019s no reason at all to remove the auto accept feature. That\u2019s just dumb and short sighted. Who the $%^& is in charge over there? It doesn\u2019t seem like they play the game or even like the concept of players in a group having fun.
I wonder if it is a performance nerf? With so many users addons calling the same search API on such a regular basis, maybe it's causing a lot of stress on their servers. I dunno, just a theory. They've done similar nerfs in the past for the same reason.\r\rThis is the most reasonable assumption. Blizzard doesn't go out of their way to break addons for no reason.\rIf they just wanted to force people to do things the hard, slow way they'd break addons like Handynotes or DBM.\r\rAll of these complaints that Blizzard is doing it to police fun or force things to take longer are ridiculous.\r\rI loved these addons, and used them extensively. I've largely stopped doing Argus WQ's and Invasion Points since the change.\r\rBut accusing Blizzard of breaking them just to make things more difficult for the player base is absurd.\r\r?\r\rIts a sub and pay2win game, why not upgrade their servers or fix their issues? =\/ they get enough money from us!

Does Blizzard play their own MMO?\r\r1. The vast majority of players simply do not have the wherewithal to notice when new players are trying to join. Every goddamned day I end up having to tell people that they have decent players looking to fill up empty tank\/healer spots.\r\r2. What about during World Bosses and farmed raids, where players are constantly filtering in and out? Are we seriously supposed to have the Group Finder open during combat to facilitate this kind of fast-moving play?

Most ridiculous change EVER. Why would they remove something so useful when queuing for a world quest? I don't want to bother hitting a button when the game can do it automatically for me. \rI'll still hit the Accept as quickly as I can anyway.\r\rI hope this causes an outcry as massive as restricting the Strider to MoP and WoD did, so they can finally see how stupid this really is. I just can't find another word to describe it.
It is hard to find group when you have a language barrier, like English\/Spanish or others.
While i have never used an add on to find a group this seems like it is making it harder for me to use their in game group finder. Why is this ? Is there any explanation ? Is there some type of exploits being used they want to stop ?
While I could maaaybe justify all the other nerfs, what's the point of removing auto-accept? So anyone who wants to make a group for a world boss or Dalaran Margoss fishing has to babysit the group now? Way to discourage people from trying to form groups in an MMO by making it an extra hassle...

I get breaking these addons for the most part I guess - especially due to server stress - but auto accept being removed? Fighting a world boss and getting a constant stream of people dinging into the wait list while trying not to die doesn't sound fun :S\r\rI just hope Blizz ends up with a decent system for searching for these groups ;;

Why don't go ahead and remove the "Questing" option from Premade Groups entirely? While I do understand that those AddOns are causing severe stress on their hardware, Blizzard has explicit stated that they would allow you to find groups for Elite\/Rare Quests, yet, those changes make it so people will never use Premade Groups to find other players to do World Quests again.
Its awesome to see Blizzard fighting automation and numbness of the game.Just one step closer to full immersion and not some botting experience.Thank you blizz and keep up the awesome work.

When this sort of thing is done in a hotfix, it almost always means some addon (or even baseline feature) was, intentionally or not, impairing or breaking the servers somehow. If they explicitly wanted to break this sort of thing on principle, it likely would have been done in 8.0 instead of a hotfix.For all the people who just go on about "upgrade the servers", there are limitations on what even top-end server hardware can handle, depending on the specifics of the design. Remember, the group finder infrastructure is region-wide, meaning there will be a single-point bottleneck somewhere in the design. Parallelism is the way to scale large systems like this, so when there is a bottleneck due to the design restrictions, it gets very hard to scale past a certain point no matter how much money you throw at the problem.
