Have you been scrapping your items or disenchanting it? Do you find you have a surplus of Expulsom or not enough for crafting?Actually i think this scrapping feature is good , i always scrap my items , but i don't know if it is worth it to selling or scrapping , i haven't used Explusom yet , can't answer if it is enough or not sorry :) .
I am so happy to do the step required for Señal oscura de Baa'l . Sadly I couldn't participate in the hunt :(
I've always liked the idea of being an engineer in the game but it seems like all the perks are non-consequential this expansion. I feel like I'm wasting a profession slot being an engineer, considering the herb/alchemy combo makes more money and provides more utility.
Farming that gold.I am currently mining and enchanting for the BFA release gold rush.Probably gonna swap out for something more interesting later in the xpac.
I've been jumping between professions like crazy, since most of them have something I like. For now I settled on mining with blacksmithing on my main. With Stirrups mining is actually fun and blacksmithing have some sweet follower equipment. For leveling my alts I go all gathering with Stirrups as well. I hope that as time progress we'll get more recipes. Especially inscription with more glyphs. And I wouldn't mind remaining parts of Honorable sets being craftable as well. I actually think I like BfA the most, with overhauled points system. It doesn't punish changing professions as much.
I'd noticed myself that the crafting professions didn't really seem all that beneficial here, got the impression that the only ones that would be worth focusing on would be Alchemy, Enchanting and Jewelcrafting, everyone's going to want enchants for their rings and jewels for their slots, and potions/flasks are always in demand. Just makes me feel levelling my tailor to 150 was a bit pointless, at least until the bags are viable to craft.
Great post! For the Scrapping v.s DEing question, I'm just scrapping all of my gear, for 2 reasons: I don't have an enchanter ready for BFA content, and I enjoy getting the raw mats more than dust or crystals. I'm finding that I have plenty of Explosum.
I've been following the secret finding channel on discord and doing a little bit of my own searching along the way. Finding Baa'l was worth it, the belt probably not so much since they changed its appearance before launch. And with the removal of the Hivemind mount from game.... they better have some more really exciting secrets planned!
Your posts are always nice to read. Too bad the AH goes really bad this time around on most servers. Made me leave the whole AH business till it gets fixed. Hopefully blizz makes something creative that don't screw most of the ppl as usual!
The slow AH and GB have affected me drastically, as I am what they call the 'craft daddy,' in my guild. Basically, I'm the one that goes out the first few weeks, gathers crafting materials on all of my toons, and turns them into consumables for the guild so that the people pushing mythic don't have to worry about running out of any one item while they're pushing progression and gearing up for higher end content. They all chip in and contribute whatever they happen to collect while they're out questing, but by and large, I'm the one who is crafting everything. I enjoy it, since the most I ever push is heroic raids and mythic dungeons, and I end up getting carried through higher level content later on as more of a social thing once they've completed the raids. There have been times when the GB has been completely unusable, with me attempting to put stacks in it, or shuffle them around and having it either not work or have an upwards 30 second delay to post. I've had to spend time in the main cities passing out consumables to guild members, or glued to a mailbox to send people what they need, which in turn is inconvenient for them because they have to find me or a mailbox. It took away the convenience of being able to plop down a guild bank when needed, because what they needed just wasn't there. It slows down progression for them, and prevents me from going out and doing what I need to do to make sure they're supplied with what they need to progress. For perspective, it took me nearly an hour to post 20 stacks of drums in the guild bank the other day, something that would only take me minutes to do in Legion. Its unfortunate, really, and desperately needs a fix.As for the AH, well. It shouldn't take me five minutes, with an addon, to post a stack of 200 anything. The amount of people selling single stacks of one item is tedious and ridiculous. There is no reason for it. If someone is posting more than ten stacks of one item at a time, they're being a bad custodian of the AH. With the changes Ion mentioned, I don't foresee item prices increasing. It'll still be lucrative for people who just want to sell trade goods quickly to get them out of their bags, and there will still be enough stacks of one item for people who aren't as serious as we goblins to purchase for their crafting. As Ion said, we get our deposit back if the item sells, so even if it costs more to post it, we'll still get our gold back after it sells. I can name the people on Area 52 who post hundreds of stacks of individual trade good items. People posting like that has been one of the largest complaints I've heard in the community regarding the AH, so I cannot wait for any fix that will cut down on that kind of inconvenience. The influx of leather on the AH has been a boon and a curse. I've also noticed that I'm gaining an exponentially large amount of the uncommon items such as Calcified Bone and Tempest Hide dropping in the world compared to the common items. Blood-Stained Bone prices are exorbitant, for example, with stacks of 200 going for well over 10,000G on Area 52 compared to stacks of 200 Tempest Hide going for a mere 28G. However, there just isn't a demand for the uncommon items, like stated above. Hardened Tempest Hide, as well, is something that I get out of the Scrapper like mad. As a blue item, I feel like that should be much more uncommon than it is, but yet here I am with over 1000 in my reagent bank on one toon alone. I would not be opposed to a hotfix that changes drop rates on leather for we skinners, because its a major feelsbadman hoping for common items and groaning when, once again, I get massive stacks of uncommon goods. That being said, moving forward I don't see a need to continue making money on leather working. I can make stacks upon stacks of Drums of the Mountain, which give the exact same 25% Haste for 40 seconds as Drums of the Maelstrom, for a fraction of the price. I can fill tabs in my banking toon with those, enough to supply the guild for the entire expansion, and switch to something more lucrative like Jewelcrafting, Alchemy, or Enchanting and make much more money. Cooking is where I generally make the most, and with fishing being so important this expansion, will be my big money maker. With Midnight Salmon going for 250G ea COD on Area 52 and approximately 300G on the AH, its going to be a massive money maker. I can spend all day fishing and turn around and make over 50,000G just by selling everything at a severe undercut on the AH. Crafted food, such as the Bountiful Captain's Feast and Galley Feast, are still not selling as much as they should be on the AH, so I'm stocking them away for the guild. Once the raids open, however, I fully intend to get on that market. Overall, though, its been a lucrative expansion. I'm happy with the gold I've been making, and I'm enjoying the fact that professions are relevant again. Its been really fun playing the AH when its working, and maxing out professions. I hope that they release more recipes throughout the expansion for me to try and cash in on, and continue to make professions an important part of progression!
Made over 100k crafting those green items to get the appearance.Hopefully more will be needed to continue the secret and hopefully it leads to the hivemind mount!
I've been scrapping all my excess gear so far. The amount of resources I get seems to be quite low and expulsom seems to be exceptionally rare. I hoped azerite gear would guarantee more resources but sometimes it only gives me pieces of leather.
I feel as explosium should have a use other than professions. Like how BoS worked how you can trade it for mats.
One of the hotfixes of the past few days that came as a surprise to me was making the Lightforged Augment Rune no longer work for lvl. 120 players (https://www.wowhead.com/news=286685/lightforged-augment-rune-does-not-work-for-level-120-players) This struck me for its immediate impact in terms of the economy, as the single-use Legion Augment Runes do still work.
Discussion point: Profession Meta. So far I have leveled 1 char, DK. I've gone and gotten both Herbalism and Mining, scrapping all BoP/soulbound items, so far I've gathered Around 20k gold worth of raw mats. I'm gonna level 3 chars, all using Gathering professions and selling BoE's on AH.
I thought the tanking deck would go up in price when it got fixed, but it has actually gone down on my realm. The problem is that there is no barrier to entry on professions, so the supply is large. My main has always been blacksmithing and mining, and I have to say that it has been mostly disappointing. Leveling BS was a pain, because you couldn't even use the Storm Silver until you got to 75. Up to then it was excruciating, especially since the material costs are very high imo. I do get the perk of being able to craft BoP gear for my pally, but 15 Hydrocores for a single piece, that lets me discover the next tier? I'm really not a fan of how the professions were done this xpac.
I looked on my servers AH while going through the guide, and found all but one item for the Waist of Time chain over 8k. Looks like i need to go craft some Windwool Hoods, since there were none. Thanks for the updates! always look forward to them.
I don't even know how people claim to mass produce expulsom from green crafted tailoring / lw bracers. I recently needed 25 expulsom for engi goggles and my experience was greens nearly never give any expulsom, and even the blue procced ones rarely do. I've bought a ton of bracers 500g a pop (both the 111 procced blues and the 120 pvp ones) and the expulsom rates were very poor.
Not surprised the hyper spawns were nerfed. Too bad I didn't get a chance to start farming the mounts yet.
nice post as always ty
