I am looking forward to it but also nervous, the vocal minority now are extremely volatile on Reddit. It's cool to be negative there right now, so people KNOW if they are they get massive upvotes and golds. Is there a forum/community not dominated by ignorance and entitlement?I mean, if you look on Reddit, there is a huge post about "not feeling attached" or in love or something with their HoA. We are month in? Did he post the same thing with the rings in WoD, or the capes in MoP? Did he complain not EVERY class got a Legendary weapon in all previous expansions since Wrath? If I recall, the ring and cape didn't do anything until you maxed it out at the end, then it got a visual. How quick people forget when they push their own agendas....
Ion IS responisble..he is the lead dev. so he is just stating the truth.some stuff ppl QQ about is unjust, but some stuff IS valid to rage at.
Its still a pretty awesome expansion ,with alot of hard work put in , there will always be issues at the beginning of anything new that need ironing out. My only suggestion would be is maybe go back to basics when things get too confusing ,look at old expansions that everyone loved and gather the best parts ,Ive been playing since 2005 and sometimes just feel that there is an overload in the game with too many new changes . Sometimes the good old quote If it aint broke dont fix it sometimes applies in expansions. Personally i think you guys have done an amazing job and still the best online game in history, ive tried others and always come back to WoW ,this game will go down in history as The pioneer and a leader in MMOs. You guys have always taken the time to listen to the players and we appreciate that , we wont always please everyone and there will be some who whine for the sake of whining without offering real critique . Hope you guys are able to find a solution ,which im sure you will as you always have :) 💜 Jinxy the Hunter
I agree with the basis about class diversity. Some classes having x making them desirable but missing y.The issue is with that it actually affects each Class under each Raid tier. Ie, if you have an entire raid filled with movement heavy bosses, then the specs with less mobility arnt brought. You must balance the classes around the currently designed content, unless you tell the players that their spec isn't desired this tier in a formal statement. If thats how you want to run the game. OR you balance ALL classes around the current content. Ie, there are no real Patchwork bosses in Uldir, all have some form of movement, so that affects less movement friendly specs.Ele does have a reasonable rotation with movement, things like icefury talenting into bigger frost shocks which can allow for spam whilst moving. Or stormbringer allowing some lightning bolt casts whilst moving. Exposed elements allowing earth shock to proc free lightning casts. But these are not baseline and therefore are not always competitive for dps. But it was expressed pretty early on that elemental at least was unfinished, like prot warrior, it had things removed (passives) and nothing to replace it I believe. Such as prot had ignore pain removed, said it was being reworked, then given back in its old state. Unfinished.I think Resto deeply needs it to have something to make it competitive in Mythic+. Having a "dead spec" for mythic+ seems a bit harsh for those who do mythic+ as their main content. Even if performing well in PvP. But if anything, Resto being the "raid healer", like holy pal is the "tank healer", seems strange to lose as their main crux of use. Even if valid or invalid in other content, it should always be a staple to raiding and balanced around that as it maintains that toolkit.I'm loving playing Ele shaman. I feel extremely useful with things like you mentioned, Tremor Totem, Capacitor totem on short cooldown, Purges everywhere for everything lol... its nice, Wind Rush Totem if needed, Ancestral Guidance to help the healer, Earth Shield to help the tank, spirit wolf for another defensive, etc. Shaman has nice utility, and I like that about my class. With the reworks in 8.1, I think it will do really nicely. But obviously, every shaman right now is feeling the number burn. Except on certain fights in Uldir for enhancement. But having all three specs with relatively high under-performance, is kind of a sad situation. Good luck with the buffs and reworking of the class :P.
