I know I'm in a minority, but I love exploring alternate timelines to see the consequences of different choices or failure, and as such I rather enjoyed End Time, at least from a story perspective.\r\rI wish we'd get more Caverns of Time dungeons. I know we're running out of decent places in out history to focus on, but it'd be neat to get some alternate timeline scenarios, too, as we help the Bronze with their job now they are depowered.\r\rWe haven't had a new CoT dungeon since Cataclysm :(
Nice overview, thank you !
This Night Warrior thing might be Tyrande having enough and actually doing something instead of shouting \u201cMalFeUrIoN ma LoVE\u201d\r\rGet ready for kickass amazonian ladies.
Cool overview. But I'm not really sure what the point of this was other than wasting my time looking for a point..

But dear god WoD left a really, really bitter taste in everyone's mouth for timey-wimey stuff. Still knowing Legion can transcend time and space (where it should have been reserved for Voidy things, makes more sense) is a hard pill to swallow.\r\rCoT has always been an interesting grasp of what has happened. And honestly, would liked to see the events that transpired for Light-zealot Yrel and the Mag'har coming at odds for one another.
So, Night Warrior class announcement at Blizzcon? Tauren and NE as races? Can't wait. Elune guide your path!
HOW THE HECK can people be saying that Teldrassil is the Night Elven Homeland..................... the Kaldorei were Immortal for 10,000 Years, and Teldrassil has been around for what? one and a half decades at Most? It was Grown because Fandral was trying to get the Kaldorei back their Immortality for peats sake, so its only been around since after the Third War.......... HOW Can You Call That Their Homeland?
A big reason we haven't gotten any new CoT dungeons is at the end of Cataclysm the bronze dragon flight lost their powers to manipulate time, thus being unable to send us back.
A big reason we haven't gotten any new CoT dungeons is at the end of Cataclysm the bronze dragon flight lost their powers to manipulate time, thus being unable to send us back.\r\rThey haven't entirely lost it; it's just severely weakened. This is why Warlords of Draenor happens. Using some of their leftover power, power from the Timeless Isle, and an artifact Kairoz was able to send Garrosh to an alternate timeline and open a new Dark Portal that crossed time as well as space.\r\rThat, and you're not considering that they could simply say that the alternate timeline's bronze dragons opened the link because the actions of Dragon Soul never occurred there.
A big reason we haven't gotten any new CoT dungeons is at the end of Cataclysm the bronze dragon flight lost their powers to manipulate time, thus being unable to send us back.\r\rI don't know about that. The timeways are still there, the Caverns are still there; the Bronze have just largely lost their innate skill and ability to sift through it. It requires a lot more care in navigation now, and there have still been instances post-Cataclysm where we have navigated to specific locations, so we can still do it.\r\rThe Infinite Dragonflight have yet to be created, and they even showed up to help Garrosh get out of his trial post-Cataclysm, so we know they can still be a threat any time Blizzard wants them to be. They can quite easily justify a resurgence of Infinite Dragonflight causing trouble.\r\rBut, honestly, I'm half expecting Yrel's group from Alt Draenor might wind up making their way to the Prime Universe and becoming an 'evil' version of the Army of the Light, giving us a Light-based enemy to fight. I think they were laying the groundwork for a future plot line there. It sort of feels like we're slowly working our way through the cosmic forces; we've dealt with Fel, we've got huge whispers of Void and Death enemies coming to power very soon, and there are hints of Light, and one could argue Arcane. So far Life is the only one that hasn't really been developed.
So, Night Warrior class announcement at Blizzcon? Tauren and NE as races? Can't wait. Elune guide your path!\r\rNo. Its just a Night Elf customization. Nothing more.

It was Grown because Fandral was trying to get the Kaldorei back their Immortality for peats sake, so its only been around since after the Third War.......... HOW Can You Call That Their Homeland?\r\rYou grew up with your parents in a house until you got 18 and then left, found a job, got married, had enough money to build a house and after a year your house is burnt down. Isn't it your home? Even if you didn't spend the majority of your life inside it... \r\rDon't stuck yourself with the word Homeland, it's the land where your home is, not the place of origin, and Teldrassil had a big city and many houses. The elves had indeed made this Land , their Home ( = Homeland ).
We have had 2 more Bronze Dragonflight related time-traveling events since Warlords:Chromie's Scenario during Legion, preventing her future death (and going back to meet her in the past as well at other points too, during it)(Horde Only) Mag'har Recruitment Scenario upon getting to Exalted w\/ The HonorboundIt is generally harder for them to do it now, yes. It's also the question of how big a threat are the Infinite Dragonflight still, after Nozdormu became not-an-Aspect at the end of Cataclysm, since he would eventually become Murozond...As a Timewalking Paladin, I hope we see more chronomantic adventures, even if they are "what ifs"... which reminds me, the Blood Elf Heritage Armor scenario seems to be getting a little wibbly-wobbly, since we are dealing with past Kael'thas (WC3 and Frozen Throne era).

The more of the current story is revealed the more convinced I am that is actually true. We had (and have) major catastrophic happenings in our timeway, and one can just imagine that someone else is infiltrating it to set it right just as we do with the others.\r\rBecause of the introduction of the Drust, I've made an in-game suggestion that we end up finding "tears" in the landscape of Drustvar where we go through and discover the reality of the history of before 2,700 years ago. It can also allow us to see parts of the earliest history of Eastern Kingdoms and see the night elves before they made contact with the outside world. It's not quite CoT but it would offer a unique way to expand the scope of the story, especially as we've seen only the one-sided version told to us by Lucy Waycrest of Drustvar so far. It would not be time-travel as such, more like us being granted access to history to learn from it. It could even be Azeroth's way telling us "her memories" before they fade too far from the ongoing onslaught of corruption and her bleeding out Azerite blood.
As an avid night elf fanboy I always love reading about them, even if it's just a summary of things I read before. But sorry, I see NO parallels at all between Tyrande's Storyline and the Echo of Tyrande in End Time.\r\rSee the quotes of the Echo in the article: Tyrande has lost her connection to Elune, she cannot see her anymore, she is desperate and alone and lost.\r\rNow see the description of the scenario: Tyrande collects artifacts of Elune, uses them to ascend as the Night Warrior and thereby (for all we know) becomes the living embodiment of Azeroths only actual god(dess). You cannot get a much deeper connection to Elune than that.\r\rFor all intends and purposes, the two are complete opposites. \r\rUnless you count that as a parallel.

It was Grown because Fandral was trying to get the Kaldorei back their Immortality for peats sake, so its only been around since after the Third War.......... HOW Can You Call That Their Homeland?\r\rDaily reminder that this is Blizzard.\r\rAshenvale, Hyjal and northen Kalimdor overall were no longer their home, Teldrassil and Darkshore were; and they lost them. The other places which were their homeland for 10k years are contested territory in wow. It doesn't belong to them. Hyjal is NeUtRaL and Ashenvale belongs to Horde now which is contested for long and it is not he homeland of night elves. This is the new blizzard lore. And now that these people who saw something worse before like war of the ancients are now broken because of Teldrassil and Tyrande the most broken of them all goes crazy and performs some kind of a ritual which results in creating edgy night elves with dark eyes.\r\r-Blizzard Entertainment 2018-\r\rAnyway just create a new allied race and level it up and keep giving your money to Blizzard. Lore is just as liquid as water right now and probably forever.

This Night Warrior thing might be Tyrande having enough and actually doing something instead of shouting \u201cMalFeUrIoN ma LoVE\u201dGet ready for kickass amazonian ladies.Umm, kick ass "amazonian"?Troll,Orc, Forsaken females have been around awhile and in particular exibit the amazonian quality you seem to be jazzed about.Kick ass females among the ranks of Belfs,Dwarven,Human and to a certain extend Worgen and Space Goat women have all represented the "amazonian" kick ass traits on more than a few occasions. Some do it with more tactical cunning and skill as opposed to face smashing than others but still they exist in fair numbers.I am unsure why you seem to have dismissed, ignored or been ignorant of an already fairly well represented,decently\/very well written swath of kick ass females already in game.Unless you are saying that FINALLY the Nelfs will have a female ass kicker to "admire" then I agree the overplayed "ma love" thing is WELL over done and watching the nelf matron go full nuke rather than running after Elk man every time he whimpers in her direction, will be a well earned inhale of new air. Then I can sort of see your point.
I find interesting that Wowhead draws some parallel between Tyrande and her alternative timeline version but they don't notice all boses in End Time are being relevant in this expansion story: Baine, Jaina, Sylvanas and Tyrande.
So i was right that i\u00b4ve seen something like that in End Time, and i thought it was just some minor thing and not relevant, but as they revealed this, i remembered, and its amazing! I love seeing different timeways such as with Nozdormu\/Murozond.
