I knew it was going to happen because of the obvious forshadowing, but im still soo pissed that Rastakhan died. He's been this enigmatic character since Vanilla and now that he finally makes an in game appearance he's killed off cause for some reason Talanji needed to be leader
As someone who plays primarily Horde I'm really disappointed Gallywix keeps getting away unscathed. I get that he's basically a mega-caricature of all the traits that Goblins embody, but they did a little too good of a job making me want him dead with the Kezan and Lost Isles quests.
Where's Baine in all of this?
Mekkatorque escapes confirmed. High elves are more numerous than gnomes.
I rightfully say Jaina is not old enough to be Anduin's aunt. Jaina and Anduin are the same age: 18.
Good to see Blizzard's still unceremoniously killing off characters left and right so they won't have an excuse to do anything with them. Like, if you wanna kill off characters okay but at least put some EFFORT into it, geez. But, to be honest, I think Mekkatorque may come back. Yeah Rastakhan died but if I'm right he was destined to since day one, and Talanji will be queen now. If Mekkatorque died the Alliance would just lose a racial leader and THEN it would be uneven (bc we all know he only "died" to balance out Rastakhan.) Plus, you know, he's literally the only consistent gnome character.
I'm a primary Alliance player. But this is the first expansion that got me to play a Horde character to the level cap. It'll be sad to see Rastakhan go, but...honestly, for all his regality, he does seem to get owned repeatedly. And hell, you just know Bwonsamdi's gonna bring him around now and then. As for Talanji, she might be my favorite Horde character ever, so hey, least she gets a promotion. I...have nothing to say about Mekkatorque, and that's more a testament to lackluster writing on Blizzard's part. But hey, at least the heir to the gnome racial leader throne is an easy pick. Tune in next patch for Warbringers: Kelsey Steelspark!
So the Alliance is actually...WINNING the war? Shocking
Eh. Some very low stakes "deaths" we have here. It's beyond obvious Mekkatorque is going to be brought back one way or the other; ever seen Star Wars? He'll be there 100% when blizz deems him useful for one plot or another. As for Rastakhan, dude had death flags hanging over his head right from the start of BfA's story. He's portrayed as dazzlingly incompetent and ignorant, despite what other characters might say about him, essentially making him just a nice lil figurehead Talanji will eventually get to replace. The deal with Bwonsamdi just confirmed it, and from that it's also obvious his death won't exactly prevent him from appearing in the story from now on.Besides, it's Warcraft. Lore important characters barely ever die. Most of the centric characters have a few death scares or even resurrections under their belt at this point.
Jesus, it's so cringy when Anduin calls Jaina auntie.
