Thanks Blizzard for killing mythic Alliance scene in EU / NA. All Hall of Fame proved is they will put their head in the sand and pretend there's no issue, because people still raid as Alliance in China / Australia. Which does absolutely zero for the regions that are extremely skewed towards Horde and can't recruit well on Alliance side. You want to make some form of title / leaderboard make it split per region with proportional number of slots. Now if you're Horde guild in Australia or Alliance guild in EU you have crap recruitment pool and leaderboard filled anyway with the other regions. So lose / lose situation. What killed 2-faction raiding was mythic+. It's cross realm and promotes everyone going the same faction within the region boundaries.
Dont worry alliance, soon blizz will add season buff "boost to future morale" buff for under performing factions in previous seasons raids/dungs it will be like all party members gets +5% more HP, just like they buffed the "enlisted" warmode on/off buff.
For me it was never a point of racials deciding anything. I'd play on alliance side for some style and fun reasons, but too many friends are on horde, and transferring characters too costly. So changing to other side is not going to happen without wide-range free transfer offers.
Lmao, all you can see on these comments are that alliance were, are and will continue to be whiny people. The problem is not the current racials or anything, it's just a snowball effect. Why do you think there's alliance guilds transferring to horde even if they have a "guaranteed" hall of fame spot as alliance? It's because they would rather have better guild members / world rank rather than a hall of fame spot with world rank 300 or more. The thing happened a long time ago not in BFA where guilds transferred to horde because then the horde racials were better without a doubt than the alliance racials for PvE. Even though lately the racials started to be way closer, alot of people already transferred to horde a long time ago and it's not like they are going to say " hey the factions are more balanced now let me spend money again to go back". It's the same way as for War Mode, just because a few alliance players couldn't handle getting ganked they turned it off > there were less alliance players in war mode > they felt overrun > they put war mode off as well. And coming back to the point: Horde just has way better players in terms of PvE because of a snowball effect that was caused by racials and other stuff a long time ago and because more guilds are going horde there's a better chance to find a good guild and that's why more and more players go horde, even if blizzard would buff alliance players to be slightly better than the horde ones it's not like they are going to make a lot of horde guilds in the top to go alliance because it would be a waste of money, only guilds that could potentially transfer for that are the ones going for the world first, but even then they are most likely not to transfer to alliance for a slight increase. Also for people talking about the War front you need to grow up, by the time the War Front was released you could have spammed mythic+ for gear, it's not like 1 370 item boosted the horde into being the better faction, 90% of people in my guild got a useless 370 item that they didn't even use from the warfront and the spammable 340 items were just trash compared to the items they already had. And you alliance whiny boys seem to forget that the alliance had the World Boss in arathi first but i don't see anybody mentioning it, sure it was a chance to get an item but yeah. MOST PEOPLE IN THE HALL OF FAME RACE DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN about that 370 item from warfront since LITERALLY 3 DAYS LATER after the WARFRONT, the raid MYTHIC ULDIR was released and with it YOU COULD SPAM +10 MYTHIC DUNGEONS for 370 ITEM LEVEL ITEMS, so alliance boys stop being so salty and stop complaining.
As someone that enjoys PvE as the main reason to play wow, it's really disheartening to see all this data because I really try hard to make it possible for my guild to do Mythic Raiding. You see, we are Alliance and I had the bad idea to roll a Human back in 2014 since I didn't know best. Right now the pool of players in my server (Ragnaros) is extremely low due to BfA not being kindly recieved by players, so getting 20 people to do Mythic becomes a huge problem, add to that the fact that we are Alliance so we get an even smaller pool. What's the solution? Well, I'd say there are two that are both extreme, but needed when you look at the situation: give Alliance an edge on PvE for at least one expansion (i.e. buffing racials motivating transfer in high end guilds) until we get a more balanced ammount of population 40-60% (currently it's 30-70% on my server at least). The reason to do this is that there's a cascading effect in player pools, because if high end guilds transfer, then there's more recruiting occuring there and more guilds would be competing, so the Alliance players don't hit a glass ceiling where there aren't good enough guilds to progress (logic being that you move from a casual guild, into a guild that tries to get AotC and then into a mythic guild). Another solution is giving free transfers from Horde to Alliance, which I also think would help even the numbers, even if it's unfair. Maybe, considering how the corporate practices of current-day devs have been going for maximizing profit, they could give a discount % to faction transfers based on the populations of each one, getting a cheaper transfer from Horde to Alliance and still getting the baseline price for the Alliance to Horde one.You have to consider that you can't give a fair solution to a system that's not balanced or equal, since the problem would still be replicated. For factions population to be more even and high end guilds to be more reasonable, Horde HAS to lose and Alliance HAS to win, there's no way around it and I hope both the devs and the playerbase knows this. It's not trying to be biased, but trying to bring balance to the system. Yes, free transfers do benefit a faction and that's what's supposed to do. If we go by the fair alternative, giving both factions a free transfer, I would pitch hard for my guild to transfer Horde so we get a better shot at Mythic raiding and getting a better pool of players (both in terms of quality and quantity) and I guess that most people would do so too. However, if we ignore the issue entirely there's a bigger snowball effect that's going to make Alliance numbers shrink by every raid release. To put my hopeful thinking in a more realistic framework, you have to know that "saying nothing" is also an answer and Blizzard ignoring the problem is the logical step to take. BfA is in a bad state player-wise, therefore there's no incentive for them to take a risky move that would make the remainder of the players get angry and take this as an excuse to leave the game. Faction balance is probably the last thing Blizzard would do in ther current moment, so of course nothing will be done. Everyone within the raiding community knows that Alliance isn't a good option unless you love the flavour of the factions, Horde is the better choice for almost everything gameplay wise, both in PvE and PvP, so no matter what we do, things are going to remain the same and that's the sad truth.I would love to change factions in my server, but I don't want to lose the guild I have and people I've raided with, but at the same time it isn't something cheap that I can do each month. Yeah, I might have taken a bad decision by rolling Alliance, but at the same time there's no information for knowing that when you are a new player. There's no information in either the game, the wow site or anywhere for new players that says that Horde has a competitive edge over Alliance in almost everything. You really have to dig and google faction balance to know how things truly are.I really wish there was a solution, but the reality is that, unless for some reason Method tries to challenge themselves by switching to Alliance or if the number one guild to clear a raid is Alliance, faction imbalance is here to stay.
Blizzard really needs to mirror the racials. They just need to change their names to keep it in line with the race, but have them do the same thing. ie Orcs mirror with Dwarves. If you keep Blood Fury, you'd then give Dwarves the same racial except you change it's name to "Mountain's Rage" or something to keep it in line with the Dwarf race. Just do the same for all races.
