This is what I've been telling Horde Fanboys and Night Elf-Hating Alliance people for years. The Kaldorei exist when Blizzard needs a red-headed stepchild to blame things on. Any other time, we get ignored/most of our lore (yes, OUR, because I've played practically solely Night Elf since Vanilla, they're my favorite race) goes into stupid-ass books. Not even in the game we PAY for. This is absolutely abysmal. You're going to take the mainstay villain for Kaldorei, and let yet another Horde man-Orc have the last blow. If I didn't already have 15+ years invested in this garbage I'd unsub tomorrow and quit. This is ridiculous. It's like they're going 'just give them enough storyline to make them hope we'll do something with them!'. Makes me worried for what happens when the Warfronts end, they said that they were in flux and there was no guarantees that the faction that started with possession would keep them. At this rate, it really is going to turn into World of Hordecraft. -.-
This is why I hate getting invested into the lore of WoW.The writers consistently let us down. They have no idea how a persistent story works and just whip out characters whenever they feel like it, even when it makes no sense. Focusing on just two characters make life easier for the designers of the game sure but in the rest of Azeroth apparently absolutely nothing ever happens. I really think that in every expansion they should have someone write two books, one in the middle of the xpac and one near the end explaining what is happening in the rest of Azeroth and what characters are doing. Blizzard just saying "well uhh you'll find out" is just lazy and poor quality. A persistent world is hard from a design pov and adding and changing things in areas the majority of players will never notice is a waste of time largly I understand, but they still need to show some interest in the wider lore of the world or else everyone is just going to keep thinking its a worthless joke. Books and novels could solve this and are the cheapest way in reality to expand the Warcraft universe. Also FYI not adding Tyrande in is insane, they literally have the longest rivalry in the game and Tyrande just doesn't care anymore? If you're one of the WoW writers who thought this was a good idea please stand up and explain yourself.
