urgh damnit... I hope I get this survey so I can tell them how THOROUGHLY BAD this idea is, and how terrible it will feel. So many better ways to fix this without taking more stuff away
I support. Would like to see something like.... hmmmm.... new "top lvl" being somewhere between 60 and 80. BUT... more than that, I would like to see CLASS REWORK! (aka revert to MOP)
Not sure why but i really don't like the idea of a level squish, and some might even call me a wow fanboi but this is really turning me off.might just be me as a player of old rpgs pre-wow vanilla but I don't mind not getting something every level its how i played Dark ages of Camelot and many other classic mmorpgs
Sounds good between 60 - 80 yes
I support this tentatively, as fewer levels with more rewards sounds fine (or even good) as a general concept. As long as they scale power correctly, that is. My worry is that Blizzard will listen to the Youtubers who say that Live should be closer to Classic in terms of difficulty. I should not have to worry about pulling 2 Kobolds a level higher than me in Elwynn Forest. Strategic, not blanket, difficulty increases are welcome.
Probs not the most popular opinon, but I'd like to see 1-60 in the 'classic zones', then you can access the most recent expansion from there. Every 'expansion' has 10 paragon levels that only work for that expansion and give something new for that expansion (then when the expansion is over the paragon levels are still there but only offer rewards relevant to that expansion)
where is this survey? I do not see anything in my emails from blizzard?
Am 100% fine with it.A level squish would hopefully mean once and for all that I could skip Outland and Northrend entirely, maybe even only stick to MoP+ content for leveling.
Honestly amazed they haven't figured out that if you just don't nerf people as they level (see: BFA) and maybe introduce cosmetic rewards for higher levels, they could solve this problem easily. Hell, City of Heroes just came back from the dead. You know what they have in that? Color changes for your abilities. Or you can change your rock hammer to one made of crystal. If I want bright red Consecration and my Judgment to be an axe instead of a hammer, why can't I unlock that by leveling? Why doesn't Blizz do us all a favor and steal good ideas from their competitors like they used to?
horrible idea, lets say they reduce classic to 1-20 tbc 20-30 wotlk 30-40 cata/mop 40-50 wod/legion 50-60 bfa 60-70 new xpac 70-75and all xpacs after u gain 5 lvls, then eventually they will keep shrinking lvls by half unless classic 1-5 tbc 5-10 wotlk 10-15 cata/mop 15-20 wod/legion 20-25 bfa/next xpac 25-30 ………….
Classic would be 30 levels and then every exp pack afterwards would be 5 levels (continue this trend futher). So next exp pack max would be lvl 70.
I really support this idea. Not improving your character with every level makes it feel like a chore, not like something fun.
Why do you need to level for new content? If you are max level why not have endgame be gated by completing the main storyline quests? Or by rep? If you have a max level character then they start the new xpac at max level, complete the story to access endgame content, and get more powerful through ilvl.
I think that change the talents could have the same result. A thing that people like about classic is the old talent tree. Have a point to spend every level give you the feel you are gaining something new with progression. Curious about what they will decide
Bring the max level down to 30! Although I don't think it's actually needed. It doesn't seem hard to give out 120 of something, and an increase is still an increase. Even if it's only .03% right now there are plenty of levels where you unlock three things. Just spread those out.
Make leveling relevant again.
I think removing or squishing levels that players have earned over many years playing the game is a really poor idea. We constantly loose or have to refarm gear we already earned in the current expansion and that doesn't feel good. Imagine loosing levels you earned over the past 10 years... Really bad idea sadly.
They dont care anymore about WoW they just want you to buy their expansions so then they can promise you rainbows and unicorns and people still believe them They should fire Ion that would be an nice ending to all the awfull things hes doing with his idears to the game.
The question that doesn't seem to be answered so far is how does this actually effect the leveling experience? Will it still take just as long to hit the new cap as it does to hit 120 now? If so, then what's the point of squishing it? Just to change the "rewards" you get for leveling? No thanks.
