There have been lots of comments (not necessarily in this thread) about Joker beating Method and other pro guilds. You may disagree with me here, and that's totally fine. I'm just offering food for thought here.I'm not sure what the best analogy is (you may think of a better one), but the best I can think of is comparing a 100 yard sprint to a marathon. Both of those demand different strategies, training, and preparations to win.I'd argue that Joker's levelling strategy is well suited for a solo player, but poorly suited for a guild preparing 40 characters for MC/Onyxia. Each character would need their own "posse" of friends waiting in other phases/layers to avoid waiting for respawns. Multiply that by 40 characters, and attempting to find empty phases/layers in open world with spawned mobs. Yikes. That'd be really hard to manage/accomplish simultaneously for 40 characters, all on the same server.Joker's single goal was to hit 60. He didn't have to worry about logistics and preparing for world first kills in Molten Core, gather mats, gaining rep to get the BRD patterns to craft fire resistance gear, manage all that for 40 people, etc. That said, I'm impressed with Joker's accomplishment. He certainly proved me wrong with respect to time needed to hit 60. I've been playing since day 1 in 2004, and wasn't clever enough to think of his phase/layering strategy. So, mad props to him! And as for the pro guilds racing for that first Onyxia/Ragnaros kill, godspeed to you!Disclaimer: the thing I loved most about vanilla WoW is the sense of community. Levelling up questing, meeting people, making friends, etc., is more my preference/style. Speed levelling to 60, or getting world first for a raid, would deprive me of the community I want. The friends I made 15 years ago during the first week back in 2004, we still keep in touch and play together in BfA! But it still is fun to watch these speed races happen!
79 hours played to max level? how dare blizzard make this game too easy.
Congratulations to Koerd for his strategy and execution. Now let's hope he can get some counseling, and maybe enter a WoW player protection program.
"or having no progress on important questlines or attunements that players can work on while leveling to 60."Except now that you're level 60, you can go back and knock out these questlines and attunements with your eyes closed and hands tied behidn your back as your character one shots every mob for these low level quests, and you build rep and complete the questlines in mere seconds rather than minutes at the appropriate level.
his stream was epic, wish i saw his progress sooner
It doesn't count delete this person , for this person not played one . on duty , and last player in party advertisement in game chat, facebook twitter or instagram
The suggestions that the intended way to level in Classic has lways been to quest are hilarious. Questing was a complete afterthought and nearly last minute addition to a game completely designed around PURE GRINDING to reach max level. Questing was added after testers were completely lost with what to do in the game.Quests barely reward you with any exp, and are specifically designed to lure you into grinding, bet it gaving to kill a ton of mobs or gather a ton of stuff( both surrounded by hostile mobs that do not progress your quests) or the good old lacking various vital organs mobs with abyssmal drop chances for whatever you want from them and who can forget escorts you will fail multiple times because they pull half the zone and then forget to give you completion. And the above is IF you have quests, which most zones barely had any of or in case of one zone didn't have any at all at launch, hell even in TBC they were still adding in new quests to Vanilla zones just to make it more bearable.Rewards are the only reason to do quests, and even then only a handful of quests are worth the reward as you will see a bigger growth in power grinding out 3 levels rather than going on a continental journey. Or you know do dungeons and associated quests for semi guaranteed upgrades you'd not replace with quest rewards for like 10 levels anyways. This has nothing to do with the spirit of classic nonsense, it's people pretending that after 15 years they haven't learned that you don't need to wait for lightning to strike a tree to make a fire because they want to relive what it was like being new to it 15 years ago. There is thousands of things I would love to erase from my mind to experience them for the first time, but I ain't gonna go around pretending that 15 years of progress haven't gone by.Also I find it hilarious that the world first isn't some amazing private server player who spent all this time perfecting a level route to grab all the max level resources and rule the economy or something, but a guy who literally would have deleted the character if it let him do it, ie the literal "been there done that" player. No wonder people are trying to discredit him.

Congrats to the guy. Clever use of frost mage's abilities and classic's features. Although I am ever so slightly worried about the legitimacy off this with the account sharing rumours, if they are proven false then well my worries are proven false. I am confused why some people seem to think this shows that classic fans saying that 'leveling about the journey' were just proven wrong... as it still is the vast majority of players will be doing it the regular way and will be enjoying it much more than doing it like this. For them, it is about the journey.I mean people can rush the game all they want, but they are only spoiling it for themselves. Anyway, the raids should take a good month and maybe longer for them to be cleared. It will take raiders some time to gather all the gear, attunements etc for them to take it on. Then you need to remember they need 40 players at 60. I imagine it will be a while before Rag is put down. We will just have to wait in see.Anyway Grats Jokerd :D
They can not release that information to the public as it private/confidential. Many people want to stay anonymous.
