I like this because it makes it a clear foil to the singular king of the alliance.
This is SO much like the recent leaks on Reddit etc. Was also posted to the WoW main forums. I need to go read that again, it's spot-on.
So, am I the only one absolutely disappointed THIS was the Fourth War? Nothing happened to warrant it. It was just generic Horde vs Alliance conflict as usual. Legion was MUCH closer to what the Fourth War should have been.
I'm waiting to hear the "this is not World of PeaceCraft" rant, but honestly, I agree with a number of people I've been talking to all day about this whole setup - enough with the huge world-ending threats, let's work on actually fixing the world rather than simply keeping it from blowing up.
Thus the Horde faded in obscurity and the Unifaction was born. Little by little the Forsaken lost any debating rights in this new council and were either quietly dealt with by Anduin's forces or forcibly converted by Calia and her insane new hunger for lightforging. The Goblins didn't care much when their leader went missing but took notice when the levies against them suddenly increased and their numbers started to dwindle. The Blood Elves steadily reduced contact with the other members of the Horde, their concerns with what was happening went unheard and they felt it was time to return to the safety of isolation they once had over the uncertain future. The Dark Spear trolls just disappeared one day whilst the Zandalari cut all ties with outside nations. The Tauren finely took notice of what was going on and begged their leader to do something about it but Baine could only smile in simplicity as he rejoiced in the wisdom of Anduin before he and his people also vanishes into the annuals of history. Finally the Orcs who remained were torn over all that happened and some cried for the Horde of old whilst the others would restrain and lecture them on the values of the unifaction as Thrall looked down on the desolate remains of Orgrimmar. In others, what a weak development.
About damn time Blizzard started jettisoning the ancient and decaying story telling structure of a RTS game series and started trying to move away from that. The Orcs vs. Humans binary drove this game into the ground story wise. Give the Horde a council. Let the Alliance come to an end as a formal entity under the leadership of the King of Stormwind. Tear it all down and start again. About damn time.
the high king is king so what ? he is not superior to other alliance faction leaders. he is just the representative person.
Just when you think they cant cuck the horde any harder. What a horrible decision. Faction pride expansion btw.
I've been hoping for a War Council rather than a Warchief for a while now - super excited about this. Hope Rokhan gets his own unique model next expac!
If this is indeed the will of the council, then I will see it done.
hmm so we are getting a war council like many speculated nice
So a council for the Horde instead of a warchief.......How boring.
