I have to respectfully disagree with Evitel on why people who wanted it “should already have it”.Plenty of people grind those mounts post expansion because the inflation rate helps. The fact that this is being told so late in the expansion’s life cycle is alarming as is, which is why so many find it predatory.PVP rewards are understood as seasonal rewards.End of Expansion Heroic raid mounts are understood the same way.And before anyone shouts "Mage tower going wasn't announced until BFA Blizzcon!" They compared it to Mists and Warlords CM when they announced it the year before, which were understood as limited time content. Even then, they tried to make it easier for us right up until BFA hit.The yak and the mammoth are only so easy to obtain because the inflation over the years. It wasn’t a cake walk to earn 150,000 back in Mists.I've read numerous people say that if it had been announced at the very beginning of BFA that this would be a limited time thing, it wouldn't be as big of a deal, even if they didn't agree with the decision. At least then you knowingly have 2 years to get it as opposed to waiting for inflation to help with it next expansion.
150k gold was easy if you put your mind to it in MoP. The time limit on the auction mount honestly just gives me something to do outside of raid.
Interesting take saying the Brutosaur mount was a "reward" that is getting taken out of the game (21:58). I must not have been paying attention when the mount was announced as I don't remember Blizz naming it as a limited time "reward" or "challenge". I remember it being announced that there was a new mount to purchase in game and that it cost 5 mil....no mention of it only being available through BFA.I admit my memory might be playing tricks on me as BFA launched a while ago now, but I highly doubt it. Who cares about truth and facts though in these new Trumpian Times Removed Evitel & Tali are getting more and more transparent with every video they put out which is both good and bad. Good because you know exactly where they stand and can listen to what they say knowing that, and bad because they actually used to make some good videos that were entertaining to watch and weren't blatant ads or apologist spiels
Mount has been out for over a year. You have another 12 months before it goes away, better get to makin money. >.>
It will be removed with the prepatch most likely? so that is 3 months before.... Exansion hits most likel in third quarter next year. That means you have 4-7 months left. More likely 6-7 Months.EDIT: Also as said before... they didn't announce it. I don't even know if they would have at all, if we hadn't datamined it.And I am against removing stuff... sepcially such a gold sink, after dropping and reducing all PVE gold rewards. If you do not use the Auction house you are just f*ed.And before anyoen attacks me: I had the money to buy it after legion, but decided I rather have 300 Euros in gametime, items or whatever.EDIT 2: Forgot december to be included... added 1 months to the calculus.
I don't really know why they're taking the mount out but a year is plenty of time.If you're trying to lay some blame on Blizzard for "not giving enough notice" then you're just wrong.lolA year and people still complain. smh
To play devil's advocate here, it's not getting removed entirely. It's just being moved from a guaranteed thing (for 5 million gold) to the whims of RNGesus (BMAH). It doesn't make it not stink, but it's a bit less unpleasant an odor than if it was COMPLETELY going away.
I hope the announcement of removing the Brutosaur makes people buy more wow tokens with RL money, so that their gold price drops. Paying 200k for one is getting pretty lame.
Removed
Removing this mount just SEEMS a forced way of making players that do not have it yet, either buy tokens or grind obsessively to get it. Either seems like a good business choice for Blizzard, but a bad decision for the player base.End of the day it's five million gold. MOST players won't ever have that amount, so why bother to remove it? It can still be a feat of strength, but seriously pushing people to buy tokens (which is what it looks like), is wrong imho. At the current 200K+/- gold, you 'd have to buy 25ish tokens ($500 for a pixel mount - what is this Star Citizen?) Personally spend quite a bit on WoW, but this really turns me off.I fully support Blizzard's right to make money and the gouging over the years on some things, but this is a bit much and looks like straight up greed. As for T&E, love the show, seemed a bit mixed on did they want people to send $$ for E to get the mount or not? That was a bit off putting as you couldn't really tell....
I just made 5 million gold the past 3 months listing daily and playing FFXIV mostly. Follow the weekly wowhead Wow Economy posts and you'll get it. Follow youtubers as well.8.3 is going to be the best time to make gold.
