I've been playing since BC release and have used a lot of different pets since that time, due to pet ability changes, gorgeous spirit beasts, new models, etc. And the hunter + friend aspect of the hunter class is what drew me to it in the first place, so abandoning these named pets I've journeyed with, often for years, feels awful. I may not have regularly used Rak'shiri in battle since Wrath, but I can't bear to abandon him. Add all the spirit beasts I rotate based on who I haven't seen in a while, and my pick of the family for each useful buff/ability, and the number grows every expac. I haven't hit the BFA stable limit, but I can understand those who do.
How about making the size of the stable UI bigger too so it's easier to see more of your pets at once!
Awesome addition no complaint can be made here, just wish they'd add any "appearance" of pet you tame to your appearance tab. Let us swap appearances or summon that appearance and let us name it or save it what not. Would be cool!
Cheers!
Hopefully this encourages a more stable relationship between our Hunters and the devs.
Lets rework that Stable UI Blizz. And while we're at it, let me pick the abilities I want my pet to have and treat the pet more as a transmog. Clefthoof with Bloodlust and Dispel? Check.
This is only prolonging the solution. Give players something like battle pet journal for hunter pets, problem gone.
"large increase" 10 slots lol
Huh, more space for pets you catch and send to stables forever.
For a second I thought they are increasing pet size and I felt so happy as a huge tauren, and then I read it correctly. Meh :/ I tame everything left and right and somehow I still have space in the stable. Idk how you all run out of space the second they add more slots. Nevertheless, a nice change. Wish it would have been proportional pet size though, then I wouldn't have to run around with a wolf that looks like it's my companion pet.
Make it like a Spell Book in Collections tab. There should NOT be any problem with that and here's a simple solution. Each pet has a unique npc ID, doesn't matter if recolor or different design altogether. Each and every tamable pet has a unique mob ID.Just make a new category ID in database like they have zone/npc/spell/object etc.. and name it something like PetSpell. Whenever you tame a pet, you learn same ID as PetSpell (to avoid confusion and assigning IDs to different pets). For ex. when you tame Loque'nahak it appears in your Pet Spell Book with the PetSpell=32517. That way they won't have to worry about assigning and maintaining a separate list for pets and easier to have ingame pet details by linking npc ID to PetSpell ID for Hunters to look for pets they want to tame, abilities, where to find them and model viewer etc..Just my 2 cents, I am sure they can come up with better ways to implement.
Took them 8 EXPANSIONS... Better late than never (as it seemed).
Why hunters want more pets if they are always playing with the same ugly ones?
