GCD is a cancer to this game.

Honestly, I get where they're coming from too. There are probably other ways to solve this. In fact, we know there are because people have been offering all kinds of solutions to this for years now.That's what bothers me. It feels like they are trying to memory hole the fact that people have already offered feedback in every shade from great to bad until they were blue in the face.
In my opinion, WoW feels a bit clunky with the implementation of GCD bacause the animations end too quick (because WoW originally didn't have GCD, so the animations were usually short). Then the character looks like it has nothing to do. And there is not much choice in offensive abilities that is off-GCD to be weaved in between that 'nothing to do' gap. .Take FFXIV for example. They have long GCD, but the animations are also long. And they also have off-GCD abilities to be weaved in between those empty gaps. Most of the attacks with GCDs are free of charge (but have to do it in sequence / in combos for bonuses). But off-GCD abilities requires mana / energy / combo points / separate bars..Thus, to make the play looks smooth, Blizz has to either synchronize the animation to match with the GCD, or make certain abilities off GCD to fill in the empty gap. The first solution is the easiest though since the latter will need nerfing and stuff.
Most classes press all their buttons on raid boss pulls and proceed to use it again when its up. I doubt they can change that...

Like others I'm also sceptical of their planning with systems coming in due to "legion syndrome". It's not fun, the difference in playing my hunter, which is 470, and has the 3 BiS azerite peices and 4 best essences and hc skitra bow, vs playing my wife's with 1 decent azerite and maybe 2 essences, is huge. I get that gearing means more dps, but it also completely smooths out the rotation and cooldowns to such a stupid extent. Sure having access to them all earlier would have been nicer, which looks like the plan, but should they be there in the first place? Such huge changes only available at the very end of the game?
let me ask one thing to you gus. waht do you rather have. GCD as it now is with a few buttons off GCD. or no GCD like how it was before they introduced it a few years back. but having spell not being able to marco (atleast not multiple in the same marco so you can still use mouse over and stuff).
I genuinely hope the GCD is cut back on a lot of classes/specs, to me it doesn't make the gameplay more intuitive or calculated, it's just a hurdle to get over. I'm sure some people don't mind it, I'm just personally not a fan.
Just make SHADOW priests SHADOW AGAIN!Bring them back to wotlk-mop levels. Where we had multi-doters, spike-blast ST rotation... etc, etc, etc....SHADOW priests are SHADOW priests! NOT VOID!
I'm all up on the infinite grind cosmetics mod for Thorgast it would be really nice.
