Great, then Blizz should make the NPC un-griefable. There's no PvP solution once there's enough people present dedicated to keeping the mob in combat. Literally no counter play available if half the server wants to be toxic.
This is similar to what Alliance has been doing in Nazjatar all expansion on retail lol... They lag the server down and shard hop to stack like 3+ raid groups for each event... All is fair IMO its PvP... at least the horde did this because its deserved.
]when did any exciting world event last happen on non-classic wow?
Karma's a @#$%^. It is what it is.
That's cold, harsh Azeroth justice for ya. If you sign to a PvP server, expect PvP to happen, as ugly and unfair it may seems. Always was like this, and always will be.
You're gonna have some casualties when combating a plague.
You also missed <Prime Time> from horde side :P we had pretty much the entire core there.
So what ive learned from PvP in almost 15 years of playing this game. Honor, glory, fighting for the glory of your.... BAHAHAHA F THAT DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO F THEM OVER MUAHAHAHAHA, GLITCH, BUG, GRIEF, WISPER THEM AND TBAG MUAHAHAHA. Ehem and if you have not learned that and are thinking this is toxic, you are new to the internet.
It's not PvP. There's no PvP solution. Even if you had 10x the alliance camping the horde there, horde could keep rezzing and keep Anachronos in combat. That's irrelevant though, because simply by having that many bodies there you lag the game out so bad that it's unplayable. You win by making the game itself unplayable, so nobody can interact with anything. There is no counter-play, and "PvP happened on a PvP server" is a trite catchphrase that shows you don't actually understand what happened here. This is a failure on Blizzard's part to have a key, time-gated part of the quest chain easily griefable (and I do mean griefable, since there's no real PvP solution) with no recourse. The scarabs and titles should be given to those affected by it, regardless of whether Grizzly are toxic or not.
Anyone getting in the way of a streamer is a hero.
This is just great, seriously... It's the stuff classic was missing to give it an honest vanilla/og mmo vibe. This is the kinda of stuff that stays with you and you never really forget.
World of WARcraft. Why is it this concept is lost on people? People being toxic and griefing and killing quest npcs and just generally not being able to enter a zone without getting murdered and possibly corpse camped.. none of that is a recent development. I still remember avoiding southshore during certain times of day. I clearly remember not questing through STV because all I heard was the gangs of Alliance going around ganking people and it was 2005 and was a newb and getting ganged up on sounded frightening. I'm surprised Blizz hasn't meddled in this like they have in other situations.
I legit feel awful for the 2 Alliance Scarab lords. I too got screwed out of being a Scarab Lord back in the day (as did almost ALL of my server but 2 guilds), and years later I'm STILL bitter about it. It's legitimately awful. However, Grizzly is getting exactly what they deserve. The fact they continue to try and cheat their way in when the Horde tries to let the other guilds through is proof of that. Grizzly 100% brought this on themselves, I just wish they'd stop ruining it for the other 2 Scarab Lords trying to get in.
Good &*!@.
to all this grizzlys and others griefiers - You Get What You F Deserve.
A glorious day for the Horde. I have no sympathy for anyone who didn't complete it. I took some great screenshots. Best day of Classic so far.
