I am glad WoWHead chose to feature this fantastic piece of work, but the comparison to the Blizzard made statue as well as the comments about the foam version being "of lesser quality" are both unnecessary and overtly hostile. Just feature the creator and his amazing piece. There's no need to tear him down like that and belittle his work.
I have seen many videos of people making this particular one. I remember one from about a year ago that was much nicer looking but they probably set the trend. Looks like this group is hoping to cash in.
Another article with a link to someones ETSY page. How does this pertain to the LIVE game?andHow is this NOT an advertisement?
they only sell a DIY template for $3 it's not like they are selling replicas for hundreds
Love seeing content like this, I hope WoWhead features more prop/costume makers in the future! It's amazing and so fun to see how much you can do with EVA foam and worbla.
Extremly well done the details are spot on - Great Job love it!
Nice!
"While certainly of a different quality than the professionally made statue" Archi be reasonable, are you insinuating that your statement is implying that the foam hammer's quality is higher than the "professionally made statue". If not, then yes it is reasonable to infer that you are saying it is of lesser quality. I believe that Koiyama's post is rightfully suggesting that comparing the "quality" of either work to each other is unnecessary and irrelevant. Certainly someone who writes words professionally should be able to understand this comment pretty easily.
