So what is happened to promised "bring the player, not the class" design? How about instead give party/raid buffs/debuffs to more classes/specs, like it used to be in MoP for example?
So among BL, buffs, debuffs et brez, how balanced it is? Which class will get refused because they don't bring one of those? (we can add health stones, shroud ...)
Meanwhile Mark of the Wild still exists in some manner, as you can get it (buffed on you) when you go to the molten front daily area (gotta unlock Sanctuary of Malorne) in Hyjal, and one of the dailies, sends you to Sethria's Roost, AND it has a RNG factor there, that everyday, you'll get a different 'visitor' along with the same npcs. One of those NPCs will buff you with MotW.I miss it from the druids. As others have stated, I'd rather have more classes having one or more of these buffs. Druids could have the 3 primary stat ones, Hunters could fill in pretty much any of them with their pets, for example, just don't keep this 'classist' kind of mindset Blizz. I play all classes but some, if not most, people has their preferences or only play some.
This is dumb, especially not dealing with the monk/DH required problem. Those debuffs should have been given to additional classes to provide better coverage.
It seems most ppl here forget, that the classes above don't have combat res.I think CR is more important than a 5% buff, because the death of the tank or the healer in 5 mans could easily lead to a wipe and resulting a much bigger time loss than a single missing buff.
It's not a "take the buff from the class and they're all equally desirable", because classes don't work like that in a vaccuum, classes have different pull factors and these buffs are ones for these classes. It's a non-issue.Should we have consumables that replicate a Warlock gateway? Should we have consumables that mimic Death Grip? Should we have consumables that dispel Magic or Enrage effects from enemies because it's unfair that some classes don't have access to Purge or Soothe? Should we have consumables that transfer threat we generate to a party member because it's unbalanced that only Rogues and Hunters have Tricks? Should we have consumables that dispel fear from group members because why should only Shaman have tremor totem? Should we have consumables that dispel magic effects on our party because it's absurd that only Priests get mass dispel? Should we have a consumable that gives us immunity for a few seconds to combat Mages/Hunters/Paladins getting immunities while some classes don't? Should we have consumables that buff HP of our enemies because Rallying Cry because it's unfair only Warriors have it? Group stealth? Windfury totem? Healthstones that don't share a CD with HP pots? Hard CC like Imprison? Ring of Peace? Ursol's Vortex? Typhoon? Should all these skills have consumable alternatives because it's UNFAIR that some classes get them while others don't?That's all these buffs are. Extra things to make a class more attractive in a group-setting that isn't just "loldamage".-------------What's crazy to me is that Blizzard have removed the scrolls but added stuff like weapon stones and oils again. Consumables are such a dated concept - it used to be "we use these to make us stronger", but now consumables have become so obtainable and so mandatory that using them isn't making you stronger because it's considered the baseline, but rather not using them is choosing to be weaker.
I'll throw in my 2 cents. IMO, how the buffs are done is extremely lazy. For instance, why do we have 2 buffs that are exclusively DPS centric? Why do we have 5 buffs, 2 of which you do nothing and you have them ,3 of them which you press 1 button every 1h and you have them? Why is there no Short Time buffs such as the new Windfury totem? Why there is no small buff to healing for ex.? Doesn't even need to be huge, even 3% from 1 class should still provide a more RPG-esque feel. Devo aura for paladins also made a return, but its still super boring. I think something like 2mid CD, 30 sec Duration but around 7% damage reduction would be more involved and impactful. But w/e , I know buffs in this game are either non-existent (Legion), Super boring (BFA), and/or some classes get some buffs, some don't at all (Most of modern WoW).
Just get rid of all the class buffs. I don't want to rely on 2 other classes to maximize my damage.
I like this change. This returns to Warriors, Priests, and Mages a small increase in value to 5 man groups that perhaps they never should have lost in the first place. When you give everyone the ability to use these buffs regardless of class then at what point do you stop? Do you start making some type of Chaos Brand and Mystic Touch scrolls? What about Combat Res scrolls? What about a Soulwell/Healthstones scroll? Conjure Refreshment scroll? Or a Stampeding Roar scroll? How about a Shroud of Concealment scroll? Lets just put everything on a scroll so nobody has anything unique. Why even have classes that do different things?I'm all for having each class bring their own different spells and abilities to the table. That is the entire point of classes in an RPG. I don't think a 5% buff to Int, AP, or Stamina is anywhere near powerful enough to make people lose their minds and give up on all of the other possible spells and abilities that they could be getting from another class. Suggesting that Warrior, Priest, Mage, Monk, and DH will be the meta in M+ is absurd. Giving up both a Battle Res and Shroud will be anything but the new meta.
You people make a mountain over a mole hill every time.. at least you doomsayers are consistent. You don’t need optimum setups to beat content in wow other than cutting edge mythic and stupidly high keys (which is content blizz does not balance for). WoW is a MMO, if you spend your entire day in the LFG tool then it sounds like you need to find a guild that runs the content you want to play regularly or you need to grow some thicker skin, look yourselves in the mirror and say “it’s ok I didn’t get what I wanted today” because you got denied a pug group from someone who doesn’t know who you are.Bottom line, the majority of wow players do not care about being meta and just want to get their weekly content done. Make some friends that play around your schedule. It’s ok to interact.
And yet, there is still no reason to bring a shaman. Mage has BL/Hero and 5% whilst there are drums for everyone else. #BlizzardClassBalance
Bring back Mark of the Wild too 😕
Thank god, there's already too many consumables.. weapon oils and sharpening stones, the idea makes me want to kms at the start of every dungeon
yes thank you, now for sure I have a higher chance to get invited.
As a Raider I hate this, if your priest/mage/warrior couldn't make it on a given day (assuming you have at least one) you at least had this as a backup. As a Scribe I hate this even more. As if inscription hasn't been gutted enough as a profession, they take away one of the few useful things we have.
So much for "Bring the player, not the class".
