Well, you see it all started when I was 5 years old. There was a big, blue 'Bigfoot' monster truck on my birthday cake and I. . .Oh, you mean with the client, I knew that.
Well I just recently (read as 3 days ago) decided to reinstall the wowhead client and start uploading more data, as I noticed alotta nodes were not marked when I downloaded my Gatherer DB. However, despite re-entering my login info in the client, it keeps hanging at uploading. It gets to 2% and stays there. I waited 3 hours, and still stuck.Any idea why it wont upload anything?
I don't get the "Authentication Failed" error as described as much as when the uploading files are being compressed with gzip, the KB/sec start dropping and it freezes at 2% of 995.2KB. I decided to let it sit there to see what would happen and it finally timed out error after about a half-hour.Don't know if this is the same thing or something new. Just thought I would pass it along.
I downloaded the WoWhead clent about six days ago and had the "Authentification failed" thing. Have tryed re-installing and have checked username and password. Problem still persists. Any ideas?
Well I have the same problem, and I upload every day after I quit wow it starts to upload, but somehow it manage to freeze at some random %.. Dont know if its just a visual bug and the stuff actually gets uploaded..
My uploads have been failing for a week as well. Stops at 10%, the size (prior to compression is 553 KB).Incidentally, you should have that "timeout" 30 minute counter count only when the upload succeeds, not when it fails, eh?Oddly, the copy on my home system works just fine. It's the one at work. I'm suspecting firewall or network issues, but I can't identify anything. The client is in the Windows firewall exceptions list; the LAN manage says nothing is set on the routers to block it. Beats me.Squire Toad
My client is uploading fine, but the addon aspect is freezing WoW for about 10 seconds ever time after I kill something. I disabled it and the problem went away :'(
I haven't been able to upload for a few weeks. I don't see any sort of error message, but the client starts to upload then just hangs, eventually timing out. I'm using Wowhead Client v1.3.1 on WinXP SP3.Edit: Disabling my AVG Free antivirus didn't help, so on a whim I uninstalled it. After the subsequent reboot, the Wowhead client uploads perfectly fine. I know I've successfully used the client with my antivirus running before, so there must have been something in one of the recent AVG updates that causes the Wowhead client to hang.
